Soon-to-be married Gemma visits the Curvy Girls Boutique with the hopes of finding a dress for her wedding - the only thing is that Gemma has been blessed with a double L cup, which sets a real challenge for Jo and Alison!

I have mental breakdowns all the time in dressing rooms I remember shopping for my grade 8 grad getting a cute dress and then my mom saying I need shape wear which made me wanna cry and so we went to another store in the mall I tried and couldn’t get it past my thigh I wanted to cry so bad that I started to and my mom was like you didn’t even let me try and help my dad was the only one looking at my face and said if it doesn’t fit then it doesn’t it’s not your fault and the dress looks beautiful the way you are you don’t need anything else and that was the best thing I could’ve heard at that moment

They ARE therapists! Each and every time a bride comes in, they have a plan for her appointment, contingency for a problem, and usually can send them off with a boost (or full launch) OF CONFIDENCE. Never happens in "Real therapy". I love them!!

@@LostLolli1 i saw a video the other day, everyone was complaining about how they should had showed her more dresses, and the girl on it replied on the comments that she was given to try only 2. I get that is for the lenght of the recording purposes, since it takes really long, but still pretty sad because they were pushing her to say yes even though she didnt really felt them :(

Yeah it's all about the person. What annoys me is that, with most clothes, the less of material and the really show-y ones cost more which I think is silly because you're paying more for less material.

If they haven't talked to the brides about price at all (on screen or off) then they are really not helping their customers. Everyone has a reasonable budget and I hate businesses that use the emotion of a special occasion to push people into spending more than they can afford, especially a mum who has to take her kids needs into account.

Plus size dresses always cost more because of the additional fabric and all compare to a regular dress im a plus size girl so i expect these dresses are quite expensive

All brides try on multiple dresses before they find a "happy place/happily ever after" fit. This point should be EXPRESSED IMMEDIATELY when a bride comes in that may be a difficult fit. "Underwhelmed" is a very real part of wedding dress shopping.

Right, but it ís the wrong conclusion that there is 'one perfect dress' for everyone. There are multiple styles, there's not one magical style that is 'the dress' that's only for the tv-show. You can feel like a bride and be beautiful in about 600 types of dresses, all the same. It's just that after a few "wrong" ones, that one special one can feel amazing.

I love you guys- I am 74 and not large but I so love your care of these women- they and many have been so wounded by the stereotypes of who is beautiful. It took me quite a while to realize what i truly wanted was inner beauty for myself and I do see this in your brides- they can't be arrogant in our western culture so they have to rely on their inner beauty and it shows.
