When you are plus size, everyone tries to give you suggestions, well-intentioned or not, to lose some of it. But no one encourages you to be confident in your own skin. These two women do that.. it might be a business but they are doing awesome job as humans too.. making brides feel beautiful without judging them for their shape..

I can really relate to this woman. I went from a size 32 to 18 in 3 years, and clothes really do become a struggle once you hit a plateau and are gaining/losing the same 10 lbs. When I saw how loose her top was, i felt this pang of familiarity 🥺💜

@@sadiyanp9263 i was lucky to be in a situation where i could focus solely on my weight loss for the first couple years. I did a lot of research and learned all about counting calories, how to stay in a calorie deficit while eating nutritious meals, how to weigh my portions, and i had to learn a lot of cooking techniques in general. Losing weight made my movements a lot faster and lighter, so that helped me feel more comfortable to actually exercise in front of other people.

Jo & Al are the absolute best for our Plus Size beauties. OMGoodness I got chills when this bride found her dress. Beautiful! When I married in 1979, there were no Plus Size bridal shops or even decent full figure styles. So I made my dress sample from domestic with a white cotton lace overlay. Hoped to make a final version of ivory brocade but time & money got away from me. Size 14/16 cost less than $100.**. Spent 2 months making & designing it.

I’m normally not a ruffle fan, but this gown is perfect on her - it suits her body and her personality- the ruching on the bodice is lovely and really shows off her great shape, right through her hip line. So nice that it was her size, so she could REALLY see how it actually fit, and the top was snug, not gapping like so many strapless gowns. Beautiful Bride - inside and out, lovely sister/friend, and Al and Jo are just the best.

I completely understand what she’s going through. I also have PCOS and it can be pretty debilitating. When you take care of yourself it really helps but certainly doesn’t make every symptom go away! That being said do not listen to the doctors when they tell you that you won’t be able to have children. I have a wonderful six year old boy and one on the way! As a teen they told me I would not be able to have kids and it was crushing. She’s a gorgeous bride and she deserves all the happiness! ❤️❤️
