Zuko's sister was a raging lunatic who probably died in an insane asylym, and his father was nutcase who thought he could rule the world, yet again, probably dying in some form of prison. Not to mention his uncle, the single most caring and just awesome character in the series, probably died not too long after the first series ended. For the cat vs puppy one, I would definently go with cat. Mainly because it says cat instead of kitten. That cat could be very old and about to die anyways, so you'd just be putting it down.
