The tracks are supposed to push these guys to their limits and get them out of their comfort zones trying quads and putting together their own rhythms thru different sections of the track. Taming the whoops down or even restricting the amount of whoops is ridiculous.

1996 Houston Supercross is the biggest quad you’ll see in the sport. Kevin Windham was the only one in the 125 class to clear it and most of the 250 guys were clearing it. Take a look in the archives videos.

That track also had 26 WHOOPS and a double step up. Bring that track design back. Slow lap times down.

@@amgriz11 watched it, the whoops look like theyre the alert bumps coming up to a stop sign. tiny and fast the quad is pretty sizable, but the double step up looks like one of the most awful obstacles you could put on a race track. Looks like it needs to be on an enduro track with tires on it. its also been 20 years of bike improvements. I seriously doubt it would take riders 1 minute flat to make a lap around that track on the bikes they have nowadays. This is an unreal expectation of the sport in this age. the stadiums can only make the tracks so large. is what it is

2000 Anaheim 2 had a pretty big Quad only a few 125 riders were doing, track had some pretty huge whoops also which McGrath dominated.

No he wasn't. Tomac closed down 10 seconds onto Chase last weekend coming from last and Chase was in 1st by the 2nd lap. Tomac and Jett had to get through the pack and didn't get into 1st and 2nd until half way through the race and Chase still never got closer. Tomac set the fastest lap of the race, Jett set the 2nd fastest

I can't really say a fan of the quad. It's sort of a race around a freestyle course with little actual side by side racing and passing. The start is probably the most important part. Just my opinion but I like outdoors a lot more and big wide tracks.

How in 2025,weve got to this point regarding obstacles that have been the standard for professional motocross/sx for years boggles my mind. To think were making a big deal about a quad, that was relatively easy for all the top guys,being kept on the track when thats the whole point of the sport,to distinguish the faster more able body riders vs the others saddens me. What happened to the days where james & ricky were the only 2 guys jumping stuff that wasnt even meant to be jumped when they designed the tracks. Guess its just very disaapointing to see this very deliberate & apparent shift to p#$$ify everything in our society trickle its way into our sport. Just look at anything from 08-14 both mx & sx & compare it to todays tracks and they dont even compare. But i guess im happy they kept it & hopefully this little social experiment finally comes to a shreeching halt.
