The time has come for us to start planning on leaving the insanely beautiful Swedish winter to head towards warmer climates in our converted campervan! A few month ago, we made the big decision to sell our house and move in to our van, but due to unplanned hospital visits (thanks to Malin's recovery from colorectal cancer) we got stuck here in the frozen Swedish winter. During this time, we've seen insanely cold temperatures (down to -18°C) and over a metre of snowfall! We're very excited to head somewhere warmer for the rest of the winter, but we will also miss the beautiful Swedish winter wonderland.
The decision to sell our house and move in to our van came after a long battle with colon cancer. After radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and two major operations, Malin finally got the amazing news that she was 'cancer-free', so we took that opportunity to finally complete the sale of our house, and move in to our campervan (called Sunny) to live vanlife full time. First we will be visiting Tom's family and friends in England, and then on to somewhere warmer. Exciting times ahead!

Who are we?

We are a young 'Swenglish' adventure family, that consists of Swedish Malin, English Tom, and babies Charlie & Isabella, who are half and half. We love all kinds of adventures, including travelling around Sweden and beyond in our little budget family campervan, and we're currently building our dream campervan project.
But right now we’re focused on one thing: to be free of cancer. We've been on the journey to recover since Malin received her colorectal cancer diagnosis in late 2022.

What a fun day in the snow! Here in Germany it’s 11*C and it’s been raining so much that we have severe flooding in large parts of the country. Be sure to check the weather and flood warnings before coming to Germany. Have a great New Year!

The best thing I knew and probably the strongest memories from childhood is when I was around 5-8yo and rode snowracer after our snowmobile, it's was so much fun.

I love seeing you guys having fun in the snow! The woods are gorgeous with snow on the trees. I’m glad you kept some warm clothes handy!! Tom, you mentioned something about joining the channel but I’m not seeing that. Was that for KZbin? I’ll bet your friends and family are happy to have you around for a bit longer! I also should say - I got through the surgery on 1st December, margins clear, non-aggressive very small tumour removed. I've met the oncologist who wants 5 radiation treatments and I'll be on Tamoxifen once my doctor's offices get that set up. But I was very lucky and I know it. So thank you for being strong in the face of your health issues and encouraging to others like me. @@malinandtom
