Are We The People Holsters Still Worth The Money?

Please heed all the negative reviews about this company! It took almost a month to get my holster and mag pouch. The single stack universal mag pouch was way too big for my magazine. I had a few questions and they never answered my 2 emails. I then left a message to return my call. No reply! I then waited on hold for 45 minutes until I got a rep. After a long discussion and him having to check with his supervisor they agreed to issue me a refund. So nice of them (lol). After a few days my refund showed up in my account. But get this, it was only for the holster!!! Ugh!!! So after 2 more emails I am trying to get the rest of my money back. This company isn’t worth my aggravation over $26. But for me it’s the principle of the whole thing. In my last email I told them that I would tell the truth and give them negative feedback when ever I can. Please trust all the negative reviews and don’t waste your money on the company. They are horrible! They have the worst customer service and I’m surprised how they stay in business.

I agree totally with this assessment. I bought a WTP holster for my Sig P365 when it was around $30. It was okay - for that price, but the retention sucked. I also added the claw, which was an expensive option. Like most gun owners I have a box full of discarded holsters and this one joined the group after a bit. I use a Vedder holster now and it is by far the best I’ve had. Very comfortable on long car rides and wonderful retention. Recently though, I decided to add a car holster mount, which I know some people think is not necessary, but I decided having my Sig just a few inches from my hand was a lot better than digging it out from under my shirt and messing with the seat belt at the same time. There are many options with magnetic car mounts but some states, like Texas, require an exposed handgun in a vehicle to be in a holster. WTP has a very good and very secure mount that allows you to clip on and off your holster very easily, as well as allowing you to instantly draw from your holster while it remains attached to the car mount. The only drawback is you have to have a WTP holster and clip to fit into the mount. With this in mind, I ordered the mount, dug out my old WTP holster and now use this for my in vehicle holster mount. I simply leave that holster attached to the mount and keep my Vedder holster in the glovebox for when I want to go mobile. The car mount is the only reason I would now own a WTP holster. My Sig is now near the floor by my right leg and immediately accessible within seconds if I need it. Maybe Vedder and the other good holster manufacturers will come up with similar holster mounts. If so, there would be no reason to go with WTP, who seem to have taken a poor direction in their company planning.

Very happy with my Tulster holster for my Shield Plus w/TLR-6. First holster I ever purchased was We the People back in 2017 I cannot believe how they have practically doubled in price since then.

I recently started exercising & taken up going on trails. There’s wildlife here in northern AZ that can be an issue & I’ve been wanting to buy a holster for my Glock. The WTP holster was going to be my 1st choice based on how often it would come up on a simple search. T-Rex was my 2nd choice but the sidecar & 2 mag holsters comes out to like $220 after shipping. I daily carried a WTP holster for a year and a Bravo Concealment for almost as long. Both did not hold up and became uncomfortable after about four hours of carry. I have been using a Vedder holster and it's like night and day. Sure, I paid almost eighty bucks for it, but it is comfortable and doesn't cut into my side. I have worn my EDC with my ITB holster for around five months and it's been the best holster I have ever used. About the same quality of my Safariland duty holster.

@greg9770 They're both made of the same kydex. The T-Rex has better form, fit and retention. T-Rex has a better claw. And they have considerably better customer service. I also place value on T-Rex because if there's a problem, they work to fix the holster. Be it a design flaw or what have you. I have two T-Rex videos explaining this. While I don't use my T-Rex holster anymore, it's in probably my top 5 holsters that I do have.

I liked mine and carried it for a couple years, and you know my job and the climate I live in. It held up great for a while, then the problems started. First the clip broke, called them up and they had me a new clip, mounting hardware, and retention kit (bushings, screws, etc) within three days. I did complain about the retention and the fact I had the screw tightened all the way and it sucked. Fast forward, I installed all the new parts, and retention was still shit. I called them up, theybl told me the kydex had stretched out and there is nothing they can do until it breaks. When it did break, I didn't reach out to them, we talked about holsters, I ordered my Werkz Origin and never looked back. My WTP holster now collects dust. I also ordered mine when it was 40 bucks, and upgraded the color so it was 50 bucks total. I do have a OWB from them for my G20's and it sucks ass, but it still gets used around the camp. The only thing worth buying from, in my opinion, is their belt. Moral of the story, they do drugs now. Oh, and don't forget about some of the bimbos they used for advertising on FB and YT.

Lol my hubby bought a wtp owb holster about a year ago, he hates it. They are definitely not worth anymore then $30. He replaced it with a Trex Arms holster and loves it. I have Trex Arms and Tulster Holsters, both are great. If you want a quality holster with funky prints, try Cross Breed holsters

I’m looking for a sidecar type option for my 43X MOS but I’m a small guy and everything I’ve found so far is either ridiculously expensive or super bulky with other problems. Like I said I’m a small guy, and I’ve only been able to successfully carry appendix under heavy clothing. I’ve been looking at just pulling the trigger and getting a T.Rex arms sidecar but it’s over 150 dollars in a normal light-bearing configuration. Not an easy buy, especially for someone who’s never been able to carry appendix without printing.

I really dislike the way the WTP kydex scratches the hell outta my gun. It does serve the purpose though, but I agree that the custom printing should not double the cost of the holster. 45 bucks or less with the claw. I recently got the VNSH rig, they are running a sale and I watched the vid. Took the chance being that I was in the market and I liked the versatility of a band-style rig that can hold a tourniquet and a mag WITH your EDC. It fits my 365 and M17 very well and I can still wear it Appendix and @ 4 o'clock with hot or cold weather clothing.

**(Totally agree with this assessment!) CAO July 2024, I'm going to have to cut to the chase and say, 'no'. Bought two holsters; heavily and incredibly unimpressed if not completely disappointed. I'm going to consider myself LUCKY in that I got both of mine in three weeks. The belt retention is absolutely garbage, cants back and forth and 100% will not rest securely alongside your waist with the huge 'paddle' holster. Absolutely will not work as 'useable' holster (with the large paddle holster) and my arms will not fit securely with only one, repeat ONE retention screw. I'm out over a $100.00 buck and can't rely on them coming from a Military background. Overpriced, cheap, too flexible and just not where they need to be...

Find a Holster for a G19 Olight PL-Mini 2 Combo if you live outside the US. Good Luck! WTP is the only company I could find, that ships to Switzerland, so it was the only option for me. Or spending another couple of hundred bucks for an overpriced TLR or X300.

I have that Wrekz holster, I like it quite a bit. Then again, it's my first and only IWB holster, so I don't have anything to compare it to, so take that with a truckload of salt. As for fit, it fits my 1911 and my Turkish (Canik) CZ SP-01 clone perfectly.

When I bought my Glock 26 a month ago, I looked at their website and saw that their prices had grown enormously. I bought from another company. Yeah, I use these holsters, but I got them a few years ago when they were in the $40 range. There's no way I would pay these current prices. And right now, I've been shopping for something else for my current edc, mainly because I want a side car mag holder, but also, it's starting to scratch my slide. Plus, the retention isn't great either, like u said in the video. I just wish I didn't have to spend almost $200 for a good holster.

I just got mine and just looking at it... I'm not impressed. It fits well in my pants and shorts, but it feels very cheap and thin. P365 doesn't fit very well. I got the foam back as well, which came with a strip of 3m tape velcro. Way too thick and makes the holster bulge out and defeats the purpose of the iwb holster. I paid damn near 80 bucks for mine all together, and i do not feel like it's worth it, I'll probably return and pay a bit more for a vedder. On the pics you see on their website, they look amazing, but once you get one in your hands, you can see what I'm talking about.

I bought two WTP holsters. Both belt clips broke. One torn off from the holster, destroying the screw holes. The other one broke in half. Both times I was just putting them into my waistband. So, not worth it.

It makes sense that if the competitors offer more for the money than go that way. That said, my rant is WTF costs the same as a few years ago? The fed reserve printed $trillions causing high demand, there was supply chain issues, and fiscal spending is STILL out of control. Inflation went up 12years of rate increase in less than two years. Most new companies eat it for a long time before they actually make money, usually they raise prices once they have popularity. I appreciate the vid. Just hope folks understand our money system is broke, its either great depression or high inflation on toys.

The thing is that other companies have not doubled or more their prices, like We The People has. Ammo is only 5cpr more expensive (about 1/5 rise), other holster companies have only gone up 10% or so. Most firearms haven't gone up more than 10% or so, if at all in a few years. I'm well aware of what the fed does and the fragility of our currency. Outside of the firearm industry, many many things are about the same price, if not only incrementally higher than they were a few years ago.

Personally, I'll take the Werkz set up as a sidecar than TRex. I have the Sidecar and it collects dust. Not a fan at all. Knightfall Customs is another one that is nicer. But your point is still true. There are really nice holsters out there for the same price or not much more.

I have 2 WTP holsters both have had the clips break. The extra concealment wing sucks. On my EDC it got super loose I can pull my gun out with 2 fingers. I would not recommend them to anyone. It’s a shame because I really like the look of the leather holster, but I do not trust their quality anymore. Not worth the money.

Yea...No thanks. Not that Alien Gear holsters aren't made well enough. But hybrid holsters are sub par compared to all Boltaron holsters. I have the very first Alien Gear holster. But I graduated from it a long time ago.

I purchased a wtp holster for a sig 365 380. Fit really loose , took a long time to get a refund and got hit for a restocking fee. Will never buy again. Very bad customer service.

@Scooter3194 They're $75 with the claw. $55 for the holster + $18 for the claw. This information was all in the video. Harry's has always made a pretty good holster. I haven't used his stuff for a long time, so I can't speak on his stuff now. I do like his integrated claw/wing. I have never carried his holsters full time because he refuses to make a light bearing holster. So I've only carried his stuff to review it. And that was a long time ago when he first started out.

@brandonUwanawich954 To be fair, the Werkz M6 is fitted to the specific pistol/pistol light combo. I have one and it's a phenomenal holster. The one in the video just happens to be their multi fit Outlier holster. Just making sure that you weren't thinking that they only made the multi fit holster.
