Cheers man, yea with the dynamic nature of the fees if it isn’t busy even boosted fees are quite low - boost and busy is the only way you get the high fees.

Great wholesome delivery content as always (new subscriber by the way). Saw on another fellow channel regarding Uber Eats, apparently there might be a good bunch of Delivers who got purged, with the whole having to confirm/re-confirm their ID's on their account. Which should be a good thing, getting rid of those funky riders and making way for the good genuine ones who are doing their hustle. Keep it up mate. From a fellow delivery driver (who drives the online supermarket avacado van) 😂

I used to work Deliveroo and noticed one of the co ops was always getting deliveries there were like 3/4£ but in hour I could do 5/6 deliveries so used to work well

I have no respect for some drivers anymore.. they always take like 3 different orders and deliver those first... then my hot food comes cold all because they wanna save fuel 🤦‍♀️ I don't really order online anymore. but if delivered i would do one at a time if it's hot food and respect the customer

Love the vids, how did u calculate ur fuel price to that, when i tried to calculate mine it was working out to about £1 per 5 miles

Cheers mate 🙌🏻 I calculate it by writing down in my notes app how much it cost me to fill my tank and how many miles I did since the last time (I reset a trip on my odometer every time I fill up) and once you’ve done that a few times, total it all up and divide your total money spent by the total miles, you’ll get your cost per mile. Yours might be right, depends on the car and how powerful it is, how you drive etc. Gonna do a tips video soon and this will be one of them 🙌🏻

Their algorithm tries to select the “best” vehicle for the job - normally that’s cyclists for small distances and cars for long distances - though this goes out the window when it’s busy.

If it's camera-controlled car parks, just gotta be quick so that you leave within the grace period. Luckily around my area, I haven't had much trouble.

Yea, I do this and freelance web dev work. If I have no other projects on, I’ll do 5-6 days a week on deliveries, a mix of food apps and Amazon Flex. Anything from 6-12 hours a day depending on how busy it is!

I’m with Zego, on their monthly plan. About £150 a month. Covers me for social domestic and pleasure, all food delivery apps, and Amazon Flex 👍🏻 my old SD&P with Hastings was £60 a month, so I consider myself spending £90 a month to be able to do unlimited delivery work. Think it’s pretty good value considering I average 45-50 hours a week.

Use pay and display bays or double yellows where you aren’t blocking traffic, and hope for the best 🤣 where I work the parking wardens all go home at 6PM so it’s fine in the evening. Displaying something on your car that makes it clear you’re a delivery driver can help too, few guys around here that have “delivery in progress” stickers etc.

Yes, we receive the fee shown on screen. It’s calculated based on a range of factors including distance, how long the order has been in the system etc. it has nothing to do with the fees the customer paid

Depends - cars are more relaxing and comfortable for longer shifts, but traffic hurts you the most. Motorbikes can filter through a lot of traffic but definitely less comfortable and relaxing in all the gear, helmet etc. so it’s a trade off and depends on the person and how much you want to work. Also in some areas the traffic and parking is so bad, using a car is basically impossible (e.g. London)

Loads of things affect the fee like how busy it is, how many rejections it’s had etc. - 6.09 for 1.5 miles with no boost would only happen in extreme circumstances so that definitely isn’t normal

Hi bro, I want to earn extra money on weekends while working in Uber food delivery on a bicycle, will this be considered as another job and the tax office HMRC will charge double tax?

If you earn over £1k from self-employment in a tax year, then yes you have to register as self-employed and pay tax on earnings over £1K. If you earn less than that per year from it, then you don't need to declare it. I'm not an expert though - always worth checking the GOV website for all the info you need for your personal circumstances.
