The timelessness of the white kitchen can't be underestimated. Most people I know can't afford to remodel their kitchens every few years to keep up with the latest trends, so timeless design is vital when it comes to such an expensive place to update. Stay timeless with the expensive stuff - and it will provide a flexible foundation to embrace the trends you love when it comes to those elements that are relatively inexpensive and easy to change out.

Yeah and I had a sink full of dishes at the time and didn't want to show my messy kitchen. Though I'm thinking it might be fun to shoot a video where I just clean dishes and use my kitchen. Make a meal or something. But that window. oof

I have a small kitchen, 7.2 sq.m. (75 sq.ft.), an awkward L shape, and no chance of changing it due to brick structural walls. I've drawn up plans and it's going to be a single wall kitchen. Fridge at the entrance, stove in the middle, with a sink next to a tall pantry which will house the microwave. All units will be white. Appliances black, black granite benchtop, with probably a light blue splashback. To maximise storage I'm building a wooden plinth to mount the base cabinets with drawers in the kickplate. Also three upper cabinets above the table in the wide part of the L. The walls will probably be a very light grey or blue as white would probably be an overload. Floor is undecided at the moment. And there's a 150 mm (6") space next to the pantry, so that will get a wine storage rack.

I have one of those busy granite countertops. I can't tell when it's dirty, and the tiny ants that sometimes get-in are smart enough to hide on the black spots! I'm thinking about covering it with white Formica...

No you are not. I don't like a white kitchen at all. Too sterile and hospital-like, no warmth, overdone.

No you are not. I get the comment a lot. People say it looks like a hospital. Which is kinda funny. Every kitchen pictured here looked beautiful and nothing like a hospital. But I totally get it. White can seem over-done. Plus it's a good thing that we differ on the subject, otherwise kitchen design and style would get pretty boring!

@MTKDofficial Completely agree Mark. Plus I appreciate your response to my comment. Yes, they were beautiful kitchens, especially the ones with Bluestar appliances in them, but I think I'd prefer an all black kitchen instead of an all white.

Actually there is such a phrase as the Golden Triangle and Golden Rectangle, but it’s from design/architecture and relates to proportion and aesthetics and goes back to Greek and Roman design theory.
