Why are peoples saying “You don’t need/don’t even need to wear a wig”… as if it’s a compliment. It’s not a compliment. If you really wanted to compliment her just tell her she’s beautiful instead of giving her a backhanded compliment. She doesn’t wear the wigs because she thinks she’s not beautiful, she wears the wigs because she WANTS to. The wigs are like accessories to complement or complete a look. It’s the same thing as makeup. No one NEEDS makeup but we CHOOSE to wear makeup.

@@luanaalmeida809I think a lot of the damage that happens to wigs is in washing and in brushing. Try not to brush a wig while it’s wet as it may cause a lot of shedding to happen. Also use wide tooth combs for less pulling of the hair.

I have 15 year old wigs that are in great condition. You can re-part that wig on the opposite side and use a hot comb to lay the hair down.

When going through chemo treatments for lupus I lost a lot of hair and decided to shave it and make a wig out of my own hair. It was amazing, but I also bought 3 more wigs that looked exactly like my hair so I felt like myself and didn't have to put so much wear and tear on the one with my actual hair. I think because I had the 3 backups that's why it still looks so good. If I were to pop that bad boy on right now no one would know I had a wig on because it looks so good. Having backup wigs will definitely help prolong the life of your wigs. A few friends who went through treatments with me would tell me they would buy backups of their favorites.

Wigs can last forever, they don’t have a specific shelf life. Any wig that is maintained can last for as long as you up keep it. Yes a wig can lose hair, especially during washes. But mending a wig, especially a human wig, is way cheaper than buying a new one.

@@bonnie1303 if you know how to sew, adding in new tracks is a piece of cake. If it’s a lace area, it’ll require ventilation, many people provide that service if you’re unfamiliar with it. Most wigs are salvageable within reason

I also have alopecia wearing a lace front & full lace wig.Covering the lace & grides with a few layers of sealant to seal the hair knots.The lace not vissable looks like my own real scalp. Will upload a video one day of my method.

When I was younger my parents were talking about how long my mothers hair was and my dad, who clearly didn't realise who he was dealing with, double dared my mom to shave her head. She obviously did and bought a lovely wig for when she wanted longer hair while waiting for it to grow back. When she was done with it she use it and some unwanted clothes to make a hang-man for our Halloween parties. It lasted about 15 years lol 😆

I've been thinking about shaving my head for a while now. Not for any reason other than I'm in my early 50s, have always had long hair(had it cut above my shoulders twice in life) but I'm just over it. Every thing about it, deciding cut, color, hide the gray or not hide it, washing, drying, styling, ugh it's all just a pain! I don't mean to sound ungrateful or like I'm rubbing it in that I even have that choice because I am very grateful to have what I do have and don't wake every day to face some health issue, especially one that is so visible. But Ms Chloe makes me want to go bald even more with every video she posts. She's so gorgeous with or without hair and her beauty beams from within! Who knows, thanks to her, 2023 just may be my year! Here's to shedding the old and onto the new! 😁🤷🏼‍♀️

I dunno if it's 'stupidity' exactly. I mean, I know you can reuse/rewear wigs, but when you see people trimming the lace off in nearly every video, it does make you question things! 😄 Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've ever even seen a video of someone putting on a wig that the lace has been trimmed on already?! 🤔 I'm sure they're out there, but I haven't seen them in my recommends; I just get fresh installs, or the "no glue needed!" headband/hat-type wigs (so you don't even know if it's new or just well-cared for). 🤔🤔🤔
