Years ago I used to enjoy drinking coffee with sugar crystals in instead of ordinary sugar. The rate at which it dissolves means the coffee gets sweeter as you drink it and I really like that. I haven't been able to find sugar crystals in years but I recently found packets of rock sugar in my local asian store and wondered if it was the same sort of thing. I found your video very entertaining and informative and happy to now know I can buy my sugar crystals for my coffee again!

Wow! very strong observation skill! I think the most different about rock sugar to other sugar is def on the melting rate part! its def annoying how there's soo many different name around the world of the same product, and here's another one for you, 冰糖is the chinese name for rock sugar, and if you translate it straight, we actually call it ice sugar cuz it looks like a ice cube~ now that you know the 3rd name of this sugar haha

In India it is known as Mishri 😋 We also use it in home remedies and in Prasad (food offered to the gods).

Yes~ In the future I'll make a #short on how to make crystalize sugar popstical, it's more of a treat then ingredients, it's actually pretty easy The cooking ones are easier to just get it from store or online, you can also replace it with same weight cane sugar in your recipe
