Thats how we all did back in 86 -90s in Middletown,oh we all would meet up at burger King parking lot it was big crusie night after football game we set up races those were some awesome years of my life we had a blast 💯✌️

I don't know that I'd ever enter a race with CiaR, I personally think it's fucking dumb, BUT, if you enter a race, you race to those rules. Whatever they are, whatever negotiations happen, that's the race you're in.

Was a huge street racer down here in S Florida back in 90's with my 89 Mustang GT with Paxton supercharger then NOS but chase was a race here too and all those years we never though of using a flash light to start or set at finish line🏁

As far as what I can tell chase is a race started in the dope boy era in the South. Now which south, idk. Could be Atlanta, Miami or Memphis. But what the deal was back in the day street racing wasn't about who has the faster car. It was a hustle. It was a way to take peoples money. It had shit to do with who had the faster car. And back in that era you could cut a 1.5 second light and it wouldn't matter. If you won that race the other side was most definitely going to start screaming "he jumped". Then the argument would start. Fights would break out. Guns would get pulled and yes, people got shot. So the solution to that was "chase is a race". And it was discussed in the negotiations along with money and terms. So yeah. If chase is a race then nobody can scream "he jumped".

I'm in Ohio and not all that far from you. Grudge racing is my cup of tea. Every shootout I've been a part of gets out of hand .... lots of guys that watch too much TV arguing over dumb shit and then the police show up before you get the second round off. We usually talk shit in a parking lot, come to terms, drive out to a spot and get it done....less people, less drama and less police. 🍻

If there's a 1000 hp car & a 500 hp car.... more hp will typically win, but does not constitute the best driver, just the racer with a bigger budget

yeah the 80s we cruised our local spot and hung out bs and stuff and then if we wanted to try to out run someone we had a few spot we would ride to and race,most times it was heads up atleast how i did.i wanted to know if i had enough that weekend if not back home during week trying to get more out of it. we had a small town so everyone knew about what they other ran so most was heads up to see if they could beat the few faster ones

Isnt the big tire person who is racing a small tire person puppy kicking when they jump in a chase is race situation? I do agree with racing for links an hell that is a hustl too, but with the tech we have these days vs the past arm drop chase is race is now obsolete, IMO.

Come on are you serious? I disagree having been in the Chiraq area all my life. We have a lot of typical ( Street racer ) at the track with all of barking Chiwowa's. they know who they are ( school kid, boost 2, not too tough and bunch of other fools). I've been at the track and listened to these fools Argue for an hour for a race then for another hour after. Keep it simple front tire back tire, the hit. Arm drop or light that's it. NO fucking lengths or cars. Heads up Sally
