Not a genius but I enjoy playing. I did say bridge though instead of sound post. I figured that, yes, the sound post does connect the upper plate to the bottom plate, but the bridge carries the vibrations from the strings to the body.

I got 12. The reason why I missed 3 is because my tutor calls them something else. She calls playing on multiple strings chords and she calls the sound chamber the f hole. Also my bow is made of horse hair and so is hers so i missed that too

I'm a piano Newbie and have never played the violin. But I started studying music theory at 65 yoa after joking my whole life that I was born with two left ears. BTW I got a 9. I had just watched a video on orchestral music and they discussed the string section, and I knew the violin is tuned by fifths, Helped with the quiz. And since G was the starting of the strings, it makes sense that it's the start of it's pitches.

got 2 wrong Question 8 was worded poorly IMHO. I was thinking your fingers are used to hold and press down the strings. Then i thought it was a trick question so i then selected d-Scroll as it technically holds the strings and also applys downward pressure due to the angle it forces the string to take. maybe wording the question as: "Which part of the violin does a violinist use to press the strings onto to create different pitches" 1.a 2.a = d sound post 3.c 4.b 5.a 6.d 7.c 8.d = c fingerboard 9.c 10.a 11.b 12.c 13.d 14.a 15.b

I did OK with nine right answers. Here are two questions you could have asked: 1) "In which clef does the violin play? Answer: Treble Clef and 2) "How many positions does the violin play? Answer: 14 BTW: The quiz taker could've have answered 15 out of 15 questions correctly, knowing the violin in theory; and not actually be able to play the violin. Thus, having no practical application of the violin at all. And conversely, one can be all practice and very little theory. How Ironic!
