Buddy you can walk into that publicity accessible lobby into a publicity funded building which is the main desk area and record to your hearts content.There is no signage in that lobby stating you can't record she is talking through her hoop.If it was illegal they would have signage up also if they need to conduct their interviews they need to be done in a room so nobody can hear the conversation.Well done for saying you need to create your own privacy when in public.Thats why Guards wear balaclavas when out doing their work on certain jobs.If you walk into the dole office you will see loads of A4 size photo copies of no recording in this building which again is Bullshit next time your up there visit the dole office I think there are about 10 cameras recording you in that building.They can record you but you can't record them😅 public servants these days are as bad as the Garda.

Very important work you are doing 420. The garda organization is out of control and unfit for purpose the government has lost control of the garda rank and file members they are being directed by their union (GRA). This video shows a garda sergeant openly misleading a member of the public on a matter of law, if an NCO thinks this is ok how can you expect the lower ranks to conform to policies and procedure.

Article 8 refers to the right to privacy in terms of your private life/private residence, that article has absolutely no relevance to this situation as a public servant on duty is not currently in their private life/residence. If she was to be off duty and with her family let’s say for example in her private residence and you encroached that’s when that article has standing but even at that we have laws in Ireland that deal with instances like that so again quite irrelevant. She obviously heard that somewhere and likes to drop that article in an attempt to ward off people doing stuff like that because she doesn’t like it. The law doesn’t cater for your feelings, as it shouldn’t.
