MsG...all the way here, as well! I was in the service long time ago, and the leadership (in their wisdom) thought we should have some festival with games like toddlers! This was during the work day, so a lot of the younger members of the company decided to "get sick" because we had planned to go as far as possible from the base. My first experience with a festival was when I was in Germany, and it was July; it was so cold and humid that some of us just snuggled to get warm (we couldn't go inside).

Also when the staff signify their appreciation to Mr Grace for the room to use as a club by giving a reluctant and tired expression of hip hip hooray reminds me of the dad's army episode all is safely gathered in when the platoon grumble after hearing the vicar is coming over to bless the harvest.

17:53 I love this episode, and it never occurred to me until I was watching this over recently...imagine if Mr. Lucas and Mrs. Slocombe had been the only two people to volunteer and had been alone in the Club room together putting up wallpaper and getting on each others' nerves. That'd be a whole episode. 🤣

Thank you so much for posting these wonderful Are you Being Served episodes. I used to watch them all the time. It's so great to see them pop up on My Feet Again. Liked and shared. Have a great day! :-)

Rapid fire quick witted comedy at its best! I thank PBS for exposing this to me as an impressionable child, and helping me in shaping my sense of humor.

This was therapeutic for all, except Wendy who didn't get "glue" as the rest! American version of "pie throwing on the face". Absolutely Funny.

One of my Favorite episodes...So glad we now have BrittBox, but I am still watching your channel here. Thank you So much for sharing. Been watching since I first saw them on PBS every Saturday evening. I'd watch before I went to bed, then Keeping Up Appearances after. I'd be in bed by 11pm and get up early the next morning to church. What a mad fun Saturday night. I think I may have been about 13 years old. I am Still loving this series to this day. Me and my husband watch this...😊

Watched these on PBS in the late 70s in my mid teens. Everything was still connected to WWII then. Now everyone has lost touch with those dark days...and now we have politicians telling us the Jews and Immigrants are to blame for our problems. Are we doomed to repeat history?
