I'm also of middle eastern background and have thick curly/wavy hair like you. I've tried all the organic no parabens, silicons, sulfates etc hair routines. Did not work for me, I ended up getting a lot of buildup, hair felt gross, couldn't comb my hair without breaking it. I even used shea moisture and it was the worst thing for my hair. What ended up working for me was using a shampoo WITH sulfates (no parabens and silicones), conditioner on my ends and finish off with a tiny bit of hair oil on my ends when damp. I use Aussie hair products or Sunsilk shampoo (smooth & manageable). Also, I always keep it in a low bun/braid to make it stay flat

I always use argan and almond oil to moisturize my hair before shower. That's what half of moroccans do hahahaha it works very good. Coconut oil doesn't fit my hair, sadly.

I have unruly, frizzy curly hair and argan oil works well for me hair. Just put it on your hair half an hour before you shower and then wash your hair. It will mosturise well. Also, you should stop using cheap shampoos. Get something for frizzy hair or damaged hair. Also for tve diffuser, just don't use it, let your hair dry naturally (wash it in the evening, it will be dry by the morning). Honestly you have exactly the same hair as my cousin. She uses cream leave in conditioner after her shower as well and braids it (like all the way from the roots!). In the morning, her hair is much calmer and healthy looking. She opens the braids and wear it down. Works sooo well. Maybe you could try that!

Use shampoo and conditioner in the shower, if your hair tangles either comb it out with your fingers or a brush while the conditioner is in. After you're done your shower flip your head upside down and apply a leave in conditioner while your hair is still totally wet. Put the conditioner in your hands, apply to the ends of your hair first, pressing your curls up towards your scalp to encourage the curls to form. After the leave in conditioner you can apply a curl gel in the same way. Then flip your hair back up. At this point you can put your hair in the microfiber towel or blow dry using the diffuser if you need it to be dry quick, but personally I think letting it air dry from completely wet with no interference is the best. In my experience the more you touch your hair and break up the natural curl forming the more frizzy your hair will become, so leaving it alone after applying the leave in and gel is the best.

Devacurl is going through it right now, something is up with them and their formulation and they haven’t indicated to fixing the issue that is literally damaging people’s hair. With that said, I still use their super cream. 😂 but the shampoos and conditioners have never worked for me and I tried it multiple times! 🤦🏽‍♀️

try to seal the leave-in with oil so the strands stay hydrated. I'm not an expert but it works for me, also don't put too much oil on or else it will visibly sit there just a slight coating will suffice without making your hair greasy. Hope this works well for you as it does me

you know you can take some of the bristles out the brush to make it less harsh. Tbh I'd recommended a tangle teaser instead and you can find it at tj Maxx for like 5 bucks. Also, DevaCurl isn't that great maybe try shea moisture.
