Seriously, now that I have curly hair, I can’t even throw my hair up in a ponytail without gel. Otherwise, it frizzes. When I had straight hair, I could just wash and go. With curly hair, it’s either stay-indoors-with-the-blinds-down or lots of gel, very careful placement and 4-5 hours of tiptoeing around waiting for it to dry (if you’re not blow-drying).
@Panya.V4 жыл бұрын
@Lily X Speaking for myself: my hair is/was SO smooth and silky that I couldn't really style it unless it was dirty and/or I applied tonnes of product because the hair would just fall down -- even a ponytail! I had to wear a wig cap with my hijab just so get it to stay on my head, or else the hijab would slide around on my slippery hair.

1) Brushing your hairwhilewet is the ONLY way to brush curly hair, otherwise you get a frizzy mess. Whoever said tbat clearly doesn't know much about curly hair... 2) You can use a cotton t-shirt as an alternative to the microfiber towel, itworksreally well and you get very little frizz

Have you tried using a denman brush or any brush that's gonna separate your hair strands then scrunch your hair upwards from the tips. It's way more easier than finger coiling and will save you a lot of time. Just try it and believe me your curls will eventually get better as time goes by.

Sooooo helpful!! Enjoyed your methodical explanatuons. U have it all figured out. #1) I CLEARLY did not apply enough product for my frizz-prone hair and I definitely must / will add oiling as part of my styling process. #2) I never tried using the Cantu Argan Leave In Cream under the Activator, (seemed too thick though it would weigh down my curls). If that’s the case I suggest watching some people with 4c4B hair types when you wanna figure out what thick creams and sealants for you to use! It’s been helpful to me to find some high quality products. Congrats on your curly hair journey! Also also I suggest maybe investing in a silk pillowcase or silk scarf as they also help me prevent my curls from poofing up. Can’t wait to watch another video from you soon 😊
