Thank you Ali - that statement: "love of the people of God & love of God & His spirit is enough to move you forward as a worship leader". I found that really comforting, as I kind of struggle to lead in my church where there isn't much freedom. People don't even want to raise their hands and I do hide from the resistance in the atmosphere by shutting my eyes. It can feel like I'm letting God down. It's so easy to get imposter syndrome and to feel like I shouldn't be doing this, but I do want to serve the Lord and believe this is a part of my purpose in his kingdom. So thank you for those encouraging words. I'm sat here about to create the list for Sunday and trusting God that he will speak to me 🙏🏽❤️

Your conversation is right on, but 5 steps above where the average north American church is willing to even consider. Sr leadership is unwilling to trust a true worship leader to walk in the annointed move of the SPIRIT. It is uncontrollable, it is too time consuming, too volatile. To allow REAL Worship is to loose control. Let alone partner with it or pay a salary for it! My experience is that GOD brings the opportunity to a sr leader, a congregation, & allows them a choice. I have yet to see it embraced. The heartbreak... so many people are HUNGRY!! the desire is there, & the LORD will hold sr leaders accountable.

Thank you so much for this. Thank you for being obedient to the Holy Spirit for discussing these kinds of things concerning worship leaders. The prayer at the end pierced me.

This podcast is incredibly special and super helpful. In South Africa the worship culture very much still consists of 3 praise songs and 3 worship songs, it is rare that the leading of the Holy Spirit takes precedence over set lists, what sounds good, popular songs etc. What is being taught here on this channel I pray will be caught by worship leaders worldwide because I truly believe as a worship myself we've never been given permission to really lead and flow with Holy Spirit is doing in the room. I am LOVING this podcast! Thank you so much! xxx

Thank you for putting words to these issues. One of the most difficult positions to be in as a worship leader is when you can see and feel what the Spirit wants to do and no one else around you seems to be tuned in. They are there because they like playing music or because they genuinely want to serve and saw that there was a need, but they cannot seem to understand the purpose of worship or how to accomplish it. It's like trying to explain the color blue to a blind person that has never seen color. It's particularly difficult when the blind person is the one deciding what color to paint the walls. I so appreciate your compassion for those called to worship who have not found themselves in a place where they are free to run with what God has put within them.

You can't lead people publicly where you have not been privately. Some people definitely are appointed (either self or by others) rather than called.

Am crying and am joyful because this conversation caught my attention. I feel peaceful with my calling. Am rested as a Prophetic Psalmist. The only thing is i never fit in my surrounding so am praying God send me where am not just accepted but in the area of my called as well. Thanks for the revelation. I needed to hear this. The Holy Spirit is speaking to me. Am learning ❤🎉

I think that worship is your life as a Christian. If you are truly living out Christ it will be reflected in your music. My experience is perhaps different than yours because it comes from living in native villages and in Rwanda after the war. I seen worship leaders with fetal alcohol syndrome singing one or two very simple familiar songs and the anointed is extremely powerful. People are getting delivered. I have seen an impoverished, illiterate lady in Rwanda singing a very simple song over and over but wow! the anointing.

Arround 16:30 the question is asked how many fulltime worship leaders that is employed. Okey. Small churches = low resources. Low resources = priorities. It's not that far fetched that a church rather employ youth- / kids pastor or admin before worship leader. Why are so few people in europe trying to do a Paul (tentmaker) and make ministry work out with funded by a side business? Why is always the go-to offerings, gifts, sallory and employment the only solution to get more time to serve the Lord? Where is the entrepreneurs that is part time prophetic ministry/intercessor/worship/street evangelist? Did they migrate to USA back in the day :)

I think you could have honored Ali's gifts and anointing without making negative comparisons with other worship leaders. Pull people up, don't criticize them.

From what I remember her comment was neither on my gift or my anointing we concluded it was about my understanding of my authority… no one was pulled down.

Todays Church doesnt GEt it. The 3 songs sit down is not worship at all ! ITs really a disgrace .exactly Alot of worship leaders that are not suppose to be leaders and pastors that are not to be pastors.. THE Order Jesus gave apostle , Prophet, teachers , Prophetic worship IS not understood . The pastor is picking songs and giving them to the worship Leader .. THat just a filled spot. NOT a leader of the Army of GOD.
