We all need this conversation… and it needs to remain in our cohesion between the preaching content and the worship content

Wow, I always find it absolutely mind-boggling when you guys put words to something I have felt in the Spirit but never knew how to say or express it. Thank you!

I love how free you are both to move in and out of correction without fear and into building forward for future gatherings and anointing. And that you are both traveling towards the heart of God in the different moments ❤

Amazing! There is so much confirmation and direction in this episode. Thank you, Ally and Emma! Also, now I understand why I feel a prophetic flow when the drums are playing. This episode has helped me in so many ways. ❤

The freedom lies in the discerning of the “ Now moments “, moving in authority and confidence with the rhema words of God, as we pull them down from Heaven under Holy Spirit’s leading and anointing ! 😇

Loved your comments on using only parts of songs that 'fit' the moment or 'place' a congregation is at. I need to do that more. Emma, thank you for your comments on songs having a seasonal anointing. Couldnt agree more! You both mentioned where a congregation is at too with how they respond to seasonal songs - I think some places that are still in diapers, so to speak, and would still respond well to songs that are reaching their shelf life for other congregations, but would still be effective. I do also agree that some songs have a global season regardless of the maturity of the congregations.

Singing over people prophetically can be termed as the prophetic minstrel anointing.. different than worship but can be included in worship, as we worship Him He can download the songs of His heart to sing over His people, person, towns, cities etc. ❤️ we also do this in worship on the streets with evsngelism etc. Psalmist anointing ... singing songs to each other etc... The Holy Spirit leads the worship and these differing spontaneous songs that flow with the spirit. The worship leader is the worship facilitator following the lead of the Holy Spirit. We need more prophetic song writers... new songs for new seasons. 😊 Thanks for covering this topic ❤

Loving this - would love to hear more maybe with something from Scripture about 'worship'. In fact what is worship' what is praise, where do we find the first mention of worship, what are the hebraic roots of of the words that are translated as praise or worship?

That freedom of impromptu leading of the Spirit and worshipping in truth so rivals our western worship habits. Many sets are not well established or developed in tune with God's Spirit. It is two things happening: 1. Too much pulpit control and 2. Lack of Holy Spirit inspired worship leader development🙏🏽

Ali, thank you for being transparent with when you went into a certain song and it killed the anointing. Been there, done that! What did, or do, you do to rectify the situation? Did you end the song asap and go into a different one to change the 'flavour'? Do you use a prayer moment to redirect and gather folks to refocus? Do you talk to the people to explain what is happening? I have never been sure what to do in that situation, so I just kept on singing the dud song, and ended it early, or went back to the song that peaked. Always feels weird to me, and I hate that I crashed what God was trying to do. Most times we can regain a level of anointing but I feel that we fall short. Any suggestions?

Sigh. When I think about what we do in our worship group: sing the set songs the pastor has chosen to match his sermon.. listening to this, it feels like living in a third world country looking longingly at a rich country

Is there any possibility of talking to your pastor about bringing new things forward, even if it’s once a month? He may need time to adjust his heart and thinking gradually to see ‘other things’ also work and compliment. e.g that others choose the music knowing the theme of the sermon that week? I know it sounds ridiculously simple, but it won’t necessarily be. Worth getting together with others and praying and chatting about ways forward, whilst blessing your pastor as well xx

Perhaps ask for another time in the week where you can “experiment” without disrupting the established way things are done in main services? Sometimes it’s easier to show/prove that something different works (a slow reformation rather than a revolution)

@@propheticscots Thank you, we have been given this Thursday evening, if the weather is good we will be playing outside on the hill behind our church, and have been given freedom to pick the music! Pray we are able to discern what the Holy Spirit is doing 😊
