Thank you for these very informative and well-organized instructions. Will definitely try. I've been doing very intense HIIT workouts for 4 years and I'm at a point where I'm starting to care more about not hurting myself lol. When I started I already had some minor hip issues (which fluctuated from there) and now one of my knees is starting to lose some stability. This short video (and others) taught me more than a professional visit. I did change my workout routine recently to more muscular training (which makes my body feel better) and am considering doing more jogging/cycling/HIIT with shorter intervals rather than those 50 secs on/10 secs off I used to do. 50 consecutive secs of jump squats IS a lot.

U are my fav Utuber physio therapist!!! Your lacrosse ball exercise (with tighten muscle for 10 seconds, then release) fixed my ankle issues that I had for months. Cannot wait to try to on my hip issues that recently flared up.

Are these safe if you have instability in your hips? I've been told I have that. Still not sure the cause of my hip pain
@YourWellnessNerd2 ай бұрын
It’s important to have yourself specially assessed to get the best advice for you. Having said that, instability doesn’t guarantee something isn’t stiff or restricted somewhere, it just depends on the person!

Thanks for the great video. Can hip imgingement cause pain in the lower abdomen, above the pubic bone?

PSOAS tightness.

Typically, hip impingement presents as groin pain for a lot of people. Stiff hips and/or lower back dysfunction can often be the first step in setting us up for lower abdomen pain though. But obviously it’s important to have yourself assessed to figure things out specifically for you!

When looking at a fit person doing theses exercises it think would be better to show someone who is actually in need of these to show. Because I can't do most of any the band ones at all. I do like your videos because it shows what needs to be done in a sequence. I can't squat or even lift my leg right to put on my shoes or move leg sideways. But understand better what I can do eventually from you. Thank you

I hear you Colleen. I can only work with what I have unfortunately. It might be best to get yourself checked so you can get the best, and most specific advice possible for you and your symptoms.

Has anyone actually got rid of this permanently meaning, becoming fully functional again doing all kinds of movements? Right now, I can't even F walk.
@YourWellnessNerdАй бұрын
It depends on the structural vs mechanical dysfunction. Surgery/rehab can positively influence each respectively.
@IwillEndureToTheEndАй бұрын
@@YourWellnessNerd I do stretches/rest/exercises. I am fine for some time. Then it comes back. And the cycle goes on. I'm in the can't even F walk phase now. This time it was triggered by walking for 2 hours, 3 days straight. God. Drives me nuts. I read a study conducted in Sweden where hockey and soccer players went through surgery for this and 3 years later only 17 % of them were better
