A&F was top tier followed by Hollister in second place, American Eagle in third, and Aeropostale coming in at borderline nerdy. But yeah, A&F was hot shit for us too in middle school and freshman year of high school. I remember when those places became uncool, too. It went from American Eagle and hollister graphic t shirts being the height of fashion for the past five years to them becoming uncool almost overnight. I guess too many kids had them, which made them uncool? But I do remember a big shift from those brands to stuff like J Crew and Polo Ralph Lauren becoming the new cool fashion right around the beginning of my sophomore year of HS. By that point you wouldn’t be caught dead in a Hollister graphic t shirt 😂😂
