Well, ozempic reduces appetite, it works as long as you take it. The problem is: the moment you don't take it anymore, the weight comes back hard because you have not solved your habits (like emotional eating) and the body want's to return to his "original state". So you either learn the tools to control that (ask Chrissy Chaos about intermitted fasting for example) or you will get even bigger or you take that drug for the rest of your life, hoping that it doesn't lose it's power or you see bad side effects. Nobody has taken that stuff for more than 2 years so far. So at the end, you have to learn to eat less anyways and if you can do that, you don't really need to pay for the drug and go through the side effects and risks.

Wow 12/10 episode. Chemistry is electric with Yannis. The Irish/Greek/PA/NY connection all jammed up perfectly together. Guy’s laugh brings happiness. And the discussion about mental health and loss was outstanding. Not forced, not begging for sympathy, not narcissistic, not droning on for hours like the vast majority of discussions about mental health in the media or podcast world.

all that hard work of getting a weekly injection pays off and makes you so much healthier physically/mentally. Until he stops taking it of course, then the weight comes back fast because he has not solved his "emotional eating" at all and the body wants to refill those empty fat cells. It's important to understand that ozempic does not solve the problem, it just pauses it. Like vicodin takes the pain away for a while, but it does not heal the cause of the pain.
