Hello! I hope you guys will learn something new from this video. When you are interested in a dog breed you look up everything there is about them and that is what I did. I tried to sum up the most important things that I could think of in this video but feel free to add some information if you know something that I don't!
I also forgot to mention that the Japanese Spitz has a dirt repelling coat. It means that if dirt and mud get stuck in the fur it is easy to remove it or it will fall off and leave the fur bright and shiny again! You can brush them about once a week to keep off excess fur and detangle it.

Best wishes to y'all!
And Merry Christmas

I have a 9 month old japanese spitz. He’s very easy to over stimulate, and he struggles with being bored/rest. But he’s very kind good dog. He was horrible biter till he was 4 months old. I found that very challenging. This last month he’s been teenager. Looking forward to him growing up. We use a harness, and I’ll verbally cue him if swapping directions. Has worked well for is. Though he can have a mind of his own sometimes where I have to give him a min. Good first timer dog as he’s been relatively easy. Puppies are horrible and hard, but all things considered, it could be much worse.

Great video!! Very informative! I really want a Japanese Spitz! 💕🐶 Btw, does she shed a lot? :)
@TeratheSpitz
@TeratheSpitz 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much 😄. Yeah they are awesome doggos 💗. She is 19 weeks now and has been shedding for about 3 weeks I think. We brush her for about 2 minutes a day but we also need to roll our clothes. Some of her siblings doesn't shed yet. So I think it depends. She will probably shed more as an adult, and they shed more when their fur changes due to temperature and such 💗. If you don't like hairs at all dogs like poodle and those you need to cut every month or so is an alternative hehe. Either way, there will always be some maintenance or extra vacuuming. 😊

@@TeratheSpitz hi, i got her! i have a question, did tera bite her leash/your feet as a puppy? if she did, how did you stop her from doing it?
@TeratheSpitz
@TeratheSpitz Жыл бұрын
@@cocona__ Hi! Congrats to your new little friend 😁! Tera bit our hands mostly when playing etc. So whenever she bit us we said NO and then instantly offered a toy or a chewing bone so she learnt that this is okay to bite on. Like "not this, but this". So the puppy obviously bites because the teeth are itchy and they don't know better/are playful. If your puppy tries to bite the leash, be consistent and say NO,(don't shout, but firmly say no like you would a human child when they misbehave) and stop moving the leash. As if the play stops or the fun stops when they bite the leash. And then distraction with another toy or treat or so. Instant treat or instant greet when the puppy stops biting. I don't know how old your pup is yet but you could be teaching it the command "leave it". It is a great command for any situation where you want the pup to stop focusing on what it currently is focusing on. I hope some of this helps! 💜

@@mirawenya That's good☺️ Yeah they do bite a lot in the beginning. But growing and changing teeth does itch haha. All dog's bladders can be held for different amounts of time if course just like people. But something we do to help Tera is to take her out for a quick pee just minutes before we go to bed. 💗
@mirawenya

@@TeratheSpitz oh it’s not cause he has to pee. He’s just awake and all over my bf (which despite me doing all the walks and training, is his favorite) cause my bf is getting up for work. There’s no reasoning with the pup after that, best get up or he’ll eat my dresser. Lol One can only hope he’ll become a napper after adolescence is over.

@TeratheSpitz 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! How old is it? First off, don't play with your hands. Don't wave them and stuff because it will think they are toys. If he/she bites you do a high pitch voice like "auch"! And you become still. Show the puppy that if you bite, I stop playing. The puppy will understand after a while that if it bites hard you won't play with him/her. But do it only for a few seconds and then you can play again. If you wait too long, it won't connect the dots to why you stopped. Use very clear body language. And if it bites, always offer a toy or a bone like "no, not my hands bite this instead". And loooots of affection when it bites the right stuff so it will remember it feels good to bite the right things and get praised. ⛔ Never hit or hurt your puppy to teach it stuff! That will only teach it that it is okay to use harmful action. ⛔ Good luck!

What if I have to work from 7:30am and be back home @6:30pm can she be left alone that long
@TeratheSpitz
@TeratheSpitz 2 жыл бұрын
No absolutely not, she would feel very alone most of the time of her life and they are pack animals. They need more company than humans do. Also, it is not kind to a dog to have them hold their bladder for that many hours. She would probably be peeing and pooping on different places in your house. I don't know where you live but in my country it is illegal to leave a dog or cat for more than 4 hours alone actually, so think of it in terms of that. If you really want a dog but work a lot you should consider a daycare for dogs where their needs will be met every hour of the day. Like human children. Also, if you would keep a dog alone that much, you would notice that it will start to behave badly, like being destructive and have very high energy. You would see that it isn't a balanced happy dog. They need a lot of mental stimulation, like challenges for their brain. And if not, they get very bored and start to seek your attention a lot, or might destroy things because they feel frustrated. I would recommend you to have cats instead if you really want a pet. But 2 cats would be ideal so they have one another to hang out with during the long silent days. Side note: All animals like when a day is balanced with different things happening and afterwards chill and relaxed time. Just like us humans do. I hope this info helped!♡

@@TeratheSpitz Thanks alot. I live in Nairobi Kenya. Unfortunately it seems like I will not be getting a dog soon. Facilities like dog care aren't really that much available everywhere in a third world country, also I don't think getting a dog seater would work due to the fact that it's not in my budget. But thanks alot for quick feedback. 🙂

There is a secret land called Japan and there is a big mountain there called the Sacred Spitz Mountain, you have to climb it and it takes 100 days and 100 nights. Then, when you find the hidden castle, you have to look for a golden door. It will take you to the wonderful lands of Narnia. When you get there you have to find the lion Azlan and ask him for the old knowings of the Japanese Spitz dog. The first lesson he will teach you is how to care for a dog, the second one will teach you how to train yourself so you will become a good human for your dog and the third teaching will be about how to look up a kennel in your country that is breeding and selling Japanese Spitz dogs. ⭐🐻‍❄️⭐

@@dolkartenzin448 I can't tell you because I don't know where you live Dolkar. You buy dogs at kennels where they breed them. But it's a huge responsibility so you gotta be a kind responsible human if you are getting a dog. It is a family member and should be treated as such, as your best friend. Dogs need a lot of attention and love just like a child. You need to read and learn a lot about dogs before getting one and make sure you have the time, love and money to spend.
