The purpose of the fence in the middle of the sidewalk is to confuse google maps! It makes it think the airport is fenced everywhere for pedestrians so the app tries its luck on a possible entrance area 😆

😂 Yep, I've seen this a few times on Google maps. If there's a dashed line showing a final way to get to your destination, don't trust it!

I'm so gutted for you, I found out about this too when I was making plans to walk to Gosselies but used street view to be like "What the frick is this?", instead I have to walk to Parking 2 then there's a path that takes you outside the airport at petrol station Q8

This place is scary as f..k, terrible terrible TERRIBLE. It feels like prison, its extremely hard to exit. To enter is a different story, its like a nightmare dream, when you are trying to enter some place and whatever you do you fail. You will get aggressive taxi drivers who will ask for 35 euros just to get you out from the airport to a hotel which could literally be 3 minutes walk if there was no labyrinths surrounded by gates around the airport. Information desk will give you zero information or even wrong information. To access toilet you need to pay by card only, no cash is accepted, are you for real? I can go forever regarding how f…ed this place is. Been to at least 2 dozens of airports in my life time, never seen anything like this one, not even close. I will make sure to avoid this sh*thole in the future, even if someone offers me free tickets and cash. If you ever happen to fly from this airshitport, please go there at least 3-4 hours in advance, so you dont loose your flight and your hard earned money. Whoever made this airport operating like that, remember, karma will get you, it will get you for all those peoples missed flight, and Im sure they happen on daily basis just because people got to walk for 40 minutes just to enter the airport.

The Q8 petrol station is your friend if you ever use this airport again! It definitely takes a bit of practise to use this airport efficiently. As for charging to go to the toilet, and only with card, it's sad and a complete joke! I'm glad I don't use this airport regularly anymore

Great video, looking on Google Earth, seems you have to walk where you just did to the nearest tram. How far is the nearest train station to Charleroi airport? thanks.

Thanks! Nearest train stations are Fleurus and Courcelles I reckon, although I would recommend just taking the A Bus to Charleroi central

The worst airport ever! To be avoided at all costs if possible! Try in the middle of the night in the rain without any lights to reach a nearby hotel (5-10min walk according to Google). After 40min of trying to find an exit, we had to call a hotel. We were offered to be picked up for 30eur for 4 people!
