I am like that too. As we get older, the realization that "our window" becomes smaller...that is why we need to be grateful for each and everyday that we are blessed to have. lamp, lotion, lip balm, water and plant.

i have absolutely nothing useful on my night stand its all for decor. both sides have a cute gold lamp, one side has a coi fish because im a pisces, a shaker bottle with diamonds in it, my main side has my charger station for my watch and phone, an owl because im drawn to owls and their meaning, a 3d balloon dog because i love dogs, and some random t-light candle pot lol and sometimes my head scarf when i feel like using it.

What lovely gift baskets for your neighbors that is a really kind thing to do. I would love to have a neighbor like you. That is so cute that you put stockings up for the cats. I just love that. I used to do that for my kitties too. On top of my nightstand is a lamp. I have an alarm clock and I have a CD player and my TV remote. Inside my night table drawer that’s where I have the works tissues nail file lip balm handcream you name it it’s in my drawer, but neatly organized.

Omg I relate to the catering to my kids as much as I don't like it sometimes. Lol. I have 4, and they can be picky. I'm like you where I can't let them go hungry, so I always ask them what they want to eat. And yes, I think like you too lol, I don't know why but my mind goes there sometimes. Why are we like this?

I know why I'm like this? Growing up I didn't have options and some days I would eat rice and just broth because I wasn't a big meat eater and being Filipino we ate lots and lots of meat. I got in trouble to not liking foods and I don't want my kids to feel that way. They can like and dislike food and that's fine we are all different and have different preferences.
