Great video! I’m in the U.S and I recently got a manual car and it’s kicking my butt, but I’m sticking with it. Driving a manual is much more engaging than driving an automatic, but I must say it’s a bit harder when you live in a busy city like NYC.

a manual in NYC? At least it’ll never get stolen 😭
@semaj_instaАй бұрын
Don't worry about it being busy there, soon it will be like second nature for you to use your gas, clutch and brake...before I came to the UK I drove only automatic and now I've been driving manual for the past 5 years.. Just keep at it, watch these videos and practice and you'll master it.

One of the things that people find difficulty to get their heads around is how sensitive the controls are. If you practice being really delicate with the pedals, you will find it a lot easier.

Can u do a video on clutch freeplay and its relation with friction zone...and car judgements
@Sonyman34Ай бұрын
Question, isn't it putting a hurtful load on the engine when you ride the clutch to control slow speeds when parking, in reverse gear or in traffic? I'm thinking little by little I'm burning up the clutch.
@ZONDOdrivingАй бұрын
If you use excessive amounts of gas then it will burn.

I have seen your most of the videos for mill hill test route and i would like to thank you for all the deeply explanations. Also i have my first attempt at mill hill center on Saturday the 11th jan at 10:14am. Do you think so they can take me to apex corner or mill hill circus roundabout on that time or if you suggest me any route. Thanks once again and keep it up👍☺️
@ZONDOdriving4 күн бұрын
Hi Tapan. Thank you for watching my videos. At that time, they could take you anywhere as it's not that busy usually. Are you worried about Apex?
@TapanPatel-o9i4 күн бұрын
@ZONDOdriving Hey Mark thank you for replying. I am not much worried about apex honestly. Only Mill hill circus slidely as it's not built correctly according to lanes. And also can you share me the link here if you have recently got to know about any new routes for Mill hill. Thank you so much 👍

@@ZONDOdriving perfect video thanks a lot 👍 and one small question on Mill hill circus. If you taking right 3rd exit. Is it okay to stay on middle lane instead of extreme right??? It is easy to go out on Mill hill circus like that. How examiner will see it?

Great video. Just one question, is it ok for the clutch to lift the clutch slowly to engage a lower gear while still braking at you reach the correct speed for the new gear? (lets say if you are approaching a roundabout in 3rd gear and you want to be in 2nd gear for the roundabout) I do this all the time, but always make sure that I’m at the right speed for the lower gear and most of the braking is already done by the time I’m fully off the clutch
@oskarumesh2394Ай бұрын
First press the break and reduce the speed of the car in order to match the engine speed to the next gear your are going to downshift, then press cluch fully and go to lower gear you want and release the clutch slowly while giving adding gas. Don't push the break while realising the clutch. If you are new to the manual driving try to practice everyday. Actually experience shapes our manual driving skills.
@jamierawlins18Ай бұрын
@ but then I’ll be in 3rd gear at like 15mph with the clutch up which is way too slow for 3rd gear. Also there were times in the video when he lifted the clutch while braking like at 3:46 and also 10:53 and nothing bad happened? I don’t understand why this is bad. I always make sure that I’m doing the right speed for the gear as well so the clutch has less work to do matching the engine speed to the wheel speed
@ZONDOdrivingАй бұрын
Yes, that's how it's done. Especially if you have to gear down going downhill. Or on a turn.

@ Ok thank you Mark. Have a nice day

That's called coasting which pressing clutch while going downhill
