Are you motivated by a challenging project?

Sometimes it's not that testing is not required, it's that the company is in such a feature development crazy hell that they consciously opt-out of software development best practices, including proper testing coverage, simply because there's not enough time (resources).

In my experience cleaning up a shitty project is more about people skills than technical challenge. It gets really tiresome and usually isn't rewarded. But what option does one have if cursed with love of the craft.
