I recently bought an Ecoflow Delta 2 and I think the main advantage will be the software on the Ecoflow. I got it connected to my fridge with AC and solar. I got it configured that if the battery drops below 25% (like on a cloudy day) then it charges it with AC to keep the fridge powered on but otherwise it runs on solar. So it isn't just for emergency but can also be used to save money without worrying that the battery goes empty on a cloudy day and whatever you have plugged in turns off. It also has setting for how low the battery can discharge and how high you want to charge it to optimize the battery to make it last for as many years as possible.

What did you buy? How many Delta 2 units, and how many/size solar panels? I live in Houston, we just had a hurricane knock out power for 2 weeks in the summer. I live in a townhome, no backyard, a natural gas generator is not an option. In an prolonged outage situation I could spread out solar panels in my driveway.

I did the same thing. The app is great.

Agreed, the Ecoflow software is very flexible. I have a Delta 2 Max and have been using it for jobsite power with solar panels. Works great, starts my Makita compressor no problem.

That is odd the Delta 2 has the receptacles on the opposite end for such a portable unit. I have the big Delta Pro just for home backup power and the receptacles are on the front with the display - but this is also not ideal! Since it is a big unit for more permanent stationary power it would have made more sense to have the receptacles on the back going into transfer panel, especially if lined up with extra battery. I am not moving this big thing anywhere and having plugs and cables on the front is messy

I may have missed it, but I didn't hear you give any details about the battery cells. Both are 1024Wh LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries. Also, the option of expansion batteries is important. It doesn't appear that DJI has that option.
@superspeeder5 ай бұрын
Bingo. The Ecoflow allows you to use an expansion battery, for an additional 1 or 2 kWh depending which one you buy. This is a big deal for backup power use since you keep the portability of the main unit when necessary.

9:00 Hola señor Dave !!! Just for the jingle or chime sound I probably chose the same I know that Eco flow is one of the best in the market but if there is blue led lights and cool chime sounds I will go for that lol😜not too smart but I guess we like those features ha ha😂😂…Gracias for your great review price $$$??? I didn’t pay attention to that but I might watch it again just to check if I missed any details…You have a great day Here in DFW we started August with scorching 🥵 103 Fahrenheit degrees and it will continue the rest of the week and rain is not in the forecast 😢Gracias once again 👋😃👋

$1000 to run a heater for 35 minutes. I appreciate that there are use cases for these devices (and am very tempted at a mid-sized one), my 3300W (running) gas generator cost me $200 (great deal) and will run for as long as I can pour gas into it. Battery power stations are all the rage right now. There needs to be a price adjustment.

Regarding price, these things are not cheap, but look at what Milwaukee is charging for their battery powered vacuum pump. All of a sudden a Delta 2 is looking pretty sweet.

I ran a top of the line heat pump off an inverter generator with no issue. The so-called “qualified professional” would not finalize his work until I was connected to the grid. He said the equipment is high end and therefore sensitive to “dirty” electricity. That’s funny, because the dirtiest electricity comes from the grid. That’s why sensitive equipment are always protected.

good one! Thx!!! So what do you tell people (or yourself) when it comes to storing these kinds of batteries for storage for the just in case times you actually need them when the companies suggest storing them at a 60% charge? I already settled on the dji and have a couple but just wondering if you had any tips on that? Thx again!

SUPPORT MATTERS. Ecoflow has years of proven decent customer support when things go wrong. DJI? Who the hell knows? I had a delta 2 max go bad on me, one 20 min phone call + 1 picture of the screen and I got a replacement in 1 week. The replacement has been going strong for over a year / zero issues. Also the app interface is just leaps and bounds above competitors like Bluetti and Jackery. You can roll the dice with DJI and be out 700 - 1000 bucks or stick with a brand who is well documented for taking care of customers beyond the sale.

did u say something about 24hours when talking about that heater..? 36mins is not gonna heat a room with that heater even too 60 degrees.. you could of bought a generator for the prices u have there.. can run a fridge, ice box, 10k btu air conditior for 12+ hours with 4.5 gallons of gas for $550 maybe a little less..

Ecoflow Delta 2 is enough for a few small devices but it won't power a fridge for more than an hour. I think a lot of people that buy this unit will be severely disappointed by how long it provides power.

Between pushing these trash battery packs as actual emergency power sources and the garbage AC unit misters I'm losing a lot of faith in this channel. Having been through the ice storm in 98 that blacked out most of northern NY and southern Ontario, Lake Storm Aphid in Buffalo in 06 and the recent blizzard in Buffalo in 2022 these battery packs are going to be useless in a real emergency because they're going to go dead and be impossible to refill quickly. Get a gas, diesel, propane or natural gas generator if you want something that will actually help you in a long term outage.
