Central Florida here. Even I will cut from my property for our chimney. We use it about 11 times in winter. Keeps the electric bill down for heating. Haha, "prepare for winter" here is getting the camping gear out to go Backcountry in Ocala National Forest. Keep warm in the coming months!

Got a couple loads of wood out back and two halftones filled with wood👍🏼🤠 never cut one live tree in 43 years of burning wood all dead standing or dead fall. Here where I am in Ontario Canada takes about 5 cords of wood. 4'x4'x8' cords. Bring on the winter 👍🏼🤠 it's only -8 shorts weather right now.

It’s some crazy times. And seems like this winter is going to be a tough one. Tac you might buy a little power box and a solar panel and you could run your pellet stove even if power is out without a gas generator, might be worth looking into? Or at least could use it at night so you don’t have to worry about people hearing the generator and coming to steal it at night. Might help prevent being a target? Love the video!

Getting some firewood next week from my wood guy and guess what? The prices have gone up by about 25% from last year. Freaking ridiculous. I clean my stuff to like new every time I use it. My grandpa a handyman/mechanic and WWII vet grew up in the depression and he taught me from 1st grade to do so. That way it lasts as long as possible. Funny on my vids I have gotten the never used or lightly used at best comments too. Take care Tac, very nice setup!

Also, when i was younger, dad used to have a wood burner in our basement of our old house. I loved it. Not only doing the work of cutting wood and getting the fire going but nothing warms a house like wood. I remember getting up in the morning and the wood floors be warm from the stove below. It was nice. Ended up being too much work for dad as he got older and we ended up moving out of that house. And we lived in the city so its not like we could walk outside and cut trees down. We had to find wood or go cut down trees for people or family members trees etc for wood. Good times.
