There's this theory that people will burning lots of calories each day. If you're not going to work or in a situation that you're not gardening being in a urban or suburban environment most likely you're not doing a whole lot but maybe guarding or scavenging. If you're on a homestead you will already be used to the normal day to day activity using up calories. If im stocked up for any length of time im staying pretty unactive to conserve energy.

You will continue to keep your supplies up to get you through the long, hard Winter. Things that need to be done for survival and hygiene will take 10 times the amount of energy to accomplish. Such as fishing, hunting, washing and drying clothes, dishes, and cooking 3 hot meals aday.

Love the 'frufru' comment 😄 my son recently mentioned that his soap was going fast, suggested he use a dish with holes and to stick it to the wall about 1/2 in or so off the ledge to keep water from settling in it. Also got maps and I'm teaching my kids how to read them 😅 they are in awe that it's how I navigated out of state in the 80's. Thks for all the info you give 😊

Sootch, I live in the NE and my house is ALL electric, and I put in a whole house generator from Generac. It runs on propane, I buried a 1000 gallon tank on the side of the house. We only use propane for the fireplace and pool heater besides the generator. But you certainly do not have to get it in natural gas.

Welcome to the prepper comunity!!! Keep watching videos like this one (there are many channels that cover prepping), and keep preparing. Little by little you'll get yourself ready if, God forbid, the SHTF. The more you prep, the more confidence you'll have. It will give you a greater peace of mind the longer you do it. My GF and I have been prepping for a little over 5 years. Our goal is complete self sufficiency. Good luck!!!

Good afternoon, guys. You can't ever be 100%. I've had a Harvest Right for 3 years that has over 8K hours, 5 bugout bags, 2 4x4's, security, Jase paks, Katadyn water with military filters and a few mini's, water pills, cameras, night vision, staples and so on and some solar. I'm ready for hurricanes and actually tie the house down with fema anchors and straps. All that said, the wife and I are up in age with some issues. We're not novices as we actually go off-grid during our vacations in North Georgia for weeks at a time. I'm considered touched in the head by some. Hopefully, those folks will get on board at one point. Thank you for being present.

@soldiersgirl9195 Dicks Creek off of 19. We go into the national forest up above the falls, About 7- 8 miles. No amenities. Haul in, haul out. We filter and drink the water up there. Too bad people don't clean up after themselves. Last time we went, we bagged 6 garbage bags full of crap and it cost us 12 dollars at the dump. It actually reminded me of a homeless area where you see them throw their garbage everywhere. It's a wild campsite with no amenities. Just lazy about picking up after themselves, I guess. What got me the most, was the broken beer bottles, and they burned their tent and fiberglass poles in the cooking fireplace.

I think along the east coast and gulf coast your gonna have to consider ocean water temperatures now, and be aware that storms can go from a tropical depression to a Cat 5 Hurricane within a 12 hour window. Acapulco demonstrated that this last October and as usual, governments can't deal with large-scale devastation. On the West Coast, you have earthquakes, volcanos, and fires. So, yeah, it's best to be prepared and in most cases in place. Unless it's fire, the Camp Fire wiped out a large area and displaced thousands. It remains the deadliest and most destructive fire in California's history

I've done the math on water, and it scares me. The amount of water you need per person per day, only for drinking, can be a ridiculous amount. Say you wish to have water for 90 days for two people! Just for drinking, that's 180-200 gallons. We have baby wipes stocked for hygiene needs. I buy a large bottle of 90% alcohol every week. My wife thinks im crazy. She doesn't care about anything. I am trying to plan for a 90-day head start. There are so many things to think about. Not just to be comfortable. But just straight survival tools & supplies for 90 days. If the societal problem isn't solved in 90 days, then it's likely to get even worse. If it's not solved in a couple of weeks, i will just assume the worst, and depending on the situation, that could mean many things. Hurricane, tornado, domestic & foreign war, homeland invasion by a foreign enemy, societal collapse, economic collapse, preemptive emp attack, nuclear war, riots, and civil unrest. There are so many issues happening right now that you can't really guess what, if anything, will even happen. I suppose you should just be generally prepared so you can have the best chance to survive any situation that may arise. Nobody can survive everything. I like the way you end the video. Time, peace of mind, independence, security, and freedom.

I went and had some surgery to take some cancer out of my arm. However, I ended up with Mersa. The bandage needed to be changed out twice a day. And we will be very careful about sanitation and everything so I think it was picked up accidentally in the office, but we have so much things on our body. We never know. Anyhow, I had a lot of bandages and that adjustable tape that goes around there to change out. You sometimes can use it twice but sometimes it stretches too much and you can’t. So I have a lot of that and large and medium bandages just like you said because of that situation I want to be readyfor somebody else hopefully I never get something again but you never know. And I also have the antibiotics from Jase Medical. I am good friends with my nurse practitioner. So we have discussed if I needed something if we have a grid down, I would be asking her if possible to know what to take so I’m not taking the wrong thing. I do know a couple of the antibiotics that I end up taking regularly. Those items she is actually giving me extras of. But they’re also in the Jase Medical case. But I am watching always about rotation and some of those antibiotics I have to use periodically because I get a particular infection called UTI. I guess the diabetes seems to do that one. But I have a kit that tells me that because I can’t know it without a test. But it’s cheaper than going to the doctor and she knows about it.

I have watched a lot of your videos. Learning some kind of Hand to Hand fighting is critical. This is because most people will not be walking around with a weapon in their hand. National Guard and local Police will be out to control the area and making frequent stop and search of foot traffic, cars etc. someone is going to conceal their intentions by asking for help or offering something to get close and then make a move. You have to respond with empty hands or whatever you are holding to even get your weapon out assuming you are in an area where this is possible. I have been a student of Tae Kwon Do as a Teen, Shin Moo and Jinjung Kwan Hapkido as an Adult and most recently got some time with Randori learning Aikido, and Daito-Ryu AikiJujutsu. I also spent 5 years in a medieval battle reenactment club and fight very well with swords, shields, spears, flails, etc. Most people, including most martial arts instructors are not any good with melee weaponry. owing to the legal regulations of our Nation and the culture of victimhood. Now, I am 50, have lost my sight and because of that don't get much exercise value out of work-outs without risk of serious injury. That stated, get your viewers to learn some hand to hand. I don't care what, but it needs to be a balanced mix of striking, grappling and some kind of effective melee weapon whether that is a stick of various lengths, long blade, hammer, mace, flail and frankly probably the absolute most useful weapon to learn would be something like a Jo. Stick or Quarter Staff because it can be concealed as a Hiking Staff and be used very effectively as 3 weapons: Staff, spear,, and Sword (Striking ) Practice attacks and Defense while wearing your kit or Pack but this is a great option because it conforms to all of your Grey Man Theory and you can hotfoot it over land with your pack, civilian clothing and using your Hiking Stick. Learn some good Knife fighting methods and practice transitions between your Stick, fixed blade knife and handgun to control space near and far, cover yourself or a partner for malfunctions and reloads and so on. You need something that brings some basic Boxing, some form of Jujutsu grappling and some form of striking. For gods sake don't go learn BJJ for the Zombie Apocalypse because you don't want to be on the ground rolling around with other threats nearby and rolling over rocks and rebar and broken glass and so on. BJJ is built for the Ring and the dumbest thing to bring to a war environment I can think of. Any of the Jujutsu traditions, Hapkido, Aikido and Budo Taijutsu is most desirable for this scenario. Even if someone just learns a handful of techniques in each category and gets good with those, this is enough to defend yourself with because you can change and adapt. Long term training will train the brain to control adrenal reactions and stress and maybe result in fewer violent conflicts. I would much rather talk with people, learn news, trade goods or share a one time meal than have to fight them and end them in front of my kids though it will probably be me who gets the wrong end of that deal. I have worked out solutions for that Of all the survival videos I get from this platform very few of them talk about the fitness and fighting skills because so much reliance is placed on firearms and expensive gear most people can't afford anyway like PB14s and whatever. If I had the ability to custom build a set of armor to address modern threats and go medieval on someone they are absolutely not going to survive even with modern combat arms even in my state right now. That said there is an entire parallel society of people out there who are very good at armored combat and most of them are just as good with firearms as well and they already practice survival methods because some of them shun technology and modern society. SHTF for some of these people would be like freaking Christmas Morning. When I get around to making my own videos and articles which I am planning right now I will introduce some of this to the world but for now its just me and my kids so that will have to wait. I have learned a few things from some of your videos myself and I appreciate your production of them. thank you.

I know from experience knowing something helps to not panic during the situation. With the money alot of places may not take the high numbered bills.

PCP Air gun's can be refilled by hand. And its not as bad as you might think. Let's say you have a 400 bar tank. Many rifles would not maintain accuracy or power when down close to half @ 200 bar so one would only have to fill half of the tank. But I, if I had one, would simply refill every time I used it, that would reduce The effort to refill a tank.
