If you have money above a certain level, which is the limit of your inability to spend your own money, it means three things if you want to stick to the premise 1. excessive consumerism, at some point you realize that Thoreau was right 2. you realize that your resources are running out and then you are confronted with why you needed so much money. 3. you naturally enter the path of charity.

I've never read the book but this video raises the question about leaving money for your kids and grandkids. I personally think it would selfish of a person to try and spend every last dime and not leave any kind of wealth for future generations. I will give this book a read :)

Yeah - he addresses it in the book. Basically give them money sooner, not when you die :-)

Let them make their own way like most of us have to do. After their first 18 yrs are paid, an occasional "help" should be more than sufficient
