For me strengthening that relationship with God also helps reduce any fear surrounding my preparedness and things that are going on in the world. When I trust God, preparation is done out of a desire to be self reliant instead of panic.

Relationship with God is number ONE .! In prayer, consecrate ( give ) your home and land to the Lord . He will protect you, your family , your home and property . Sadly....so many are prepping and don't have a relationship with the Lord . It will avail them nothing . If we don't have God protecting us....none of us will survive what's coming 🙏🙏🙏

Jonathan & Kylene, I decided to take one topic per week over each of the next 10 weeks, making that the topic of focus for an entire week - where to spend time, attention, inventory and devote any extra resources (plus make a prioritized shopping list for extra money that comes my way). In 10 weeks, I’ll have had one full run through each area of preparation and can start over again or supplement as necessary. I found trying to cover too many topics at once freaked me out & scattered my energy. Now 4-5 times a year, I’m focused on one thing at a time. I can watch all the videos & articles on … gardening or first aid or water, as appropriate, and keep baby stepping my way until “it’s” needed.

I was thinking the exact same thing, God & Jesus should be first, not last. God will always take care of what needs to be taken care of, we just need to stay in his word. Many, many people feel that something may happen soon, we just don't know what. My family and I live in Miami where the heart of hurricane season is right around the corner so everyone is preparing in some way but with inflation being so high, it's more difficult than normal. I read two chapters in the Bible daily and listen to a Dr. David Jeremiah segment so let me get to that. May God bless everyone and keep your faith strong.

Long story as short as possible. Almost died yesterday after bee stings, didn't know that would bee (pun intended) ever an issue. and my 16 yr old on a learners permit had to stop halfway to the hospital only to stand and watch me get carted off in an ambulance after calling 911. He got a police escort back home and a lecture for speeding, but no ticket. (Best kid anyone could ask for, and very calm under pressure. Proudest dad ever! Five months ago, a large section of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma were burned in wildfires. My village was completely evacuated and I began packing some clothes. By the time that was done, there was no room left in the car for food, etc. Then, we learned that the only route out of town had been closed. We thought we were ready - we weren't. Thankfully, our house survived but, many friends and associates lost everything. More careful planning is needed. Thanks for everything you do.

I keep my 2 bug out totes packed plus our 2 bags & a list on paper & on my phone of last minute things to do (like watering the roof) & things to grab. @dfreak01 I feel ya, from Australia. There's a story in the family off ggma seeing the fire across the paddock, she ran inside to call the neighbour and by the time she ran out again it was nearly at the house. There was a documentary about the black Saturday fires and people donated their footage from the day. I noticed one family didn't know how much fuel was in the car, didn't know where the keys were, Dad wanted to stay and fight and Mum wanted to leave. These decisions must be made well beforehand. A property can be defended but you really have to know what you're doing. The advice now is leave. Have a plan, and practice it.

#10 minus the zero for me! When I stop, and listen. The rest falls into place. It gets done, I fill holes that I didn't know I had. The Lord always, ALWAYS gets us ready well before any thing might be, or will be needed. Ours is hurricanes. But there is ONE thing we all do have in common and that is water, and not the drinking kind. How about the flooding kind? The sink running over kind, the tub overfilling kind, the washer hose bursting kind! Have you heard of quick dams? That little orange bucket holds more saving measures than you know. Water pipes break, Rain pours in...there are a lot of combinations that you can get. Door barriers for flooding, to small leak bags to catch that drip. People OFTEN never prepare for water. They store water, but rarely prepare for water...Something to think about.

During Katrina the rain poured in under the house eaves and down the walls. My home is elevated enough so no problem with flooding. After the rain stopped, we mopped up and opened up the house to dry. No sheet rock in this home. The solid wood walls dried and didn't warp. No mold or mildew either. Back when I started renovating, I routed a V along the edge of planks and nailed them to the walls. Jesus is also The Master Carpenter. (I think He got that from Joseph.) He knew what was/is coming and gave me the ideas. Isn't He amazing!!

Here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and southern Louisiana, scientist say we get "tiny" earthquakes. We do have to worry about hurricanes and sometimes tornadoes can be spawned inside a hurricane or just by a severe thunderstorm. "Inland flooding" and "storm surge" are concerns in our area but inland flooding can affect people many miles from a hurricane! FYI: scientist are forecasting a super bad hurricane season this season (from now and thru the next several months).

Jonathan: Your power system is impressive, but most off us can't afford to purchase a system that cost tens of thousands of dollars. With the current political climate we are entering into a cold war with China and no one knows how that will work itself out. For now things are semi-stable. The division in our own country is concerning. I continue to prep for emergencies, we are also overdue for an earthquake on the New Madrid fault. We no longer have gentle rains, but torrential deluges and straight line winds and tornadoes in abundance. Whether folks want to admit it or not climate change is very real. My granny always said prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Eat regionally, preserve the harvest and buy on sale and put it in your pantry. That is how I was raised and how I raised my family.

My senses are telling me that a certain part of leadership is getting desperate. So look out. Healthy looking purslane you got there. I have some too. I grow weeds better than traditional garden plants. Except jalepenos. I can grow those. Went to Walmart today, a young clean cut fella had bought 2 cases of Mason jars w/lids. That was all. I was impressed. Went to get a couple of boxes of #6 birdshot. Almost $12 a box !! Low brass ! At Walmart ! Sticker shock. Hadn't needed to make that purchase in quite a few years, still not necessary, just evening up my preps. Everything else is secure for now. Us neighbors look out for each other. Also picked up some flying insect spray. I'll be ordering some more rodent poison this week. Pests are one of my concerns. (obviously) Trying to get rid of a skunk right now before it sprays my dog. Vinegar seems to work. Our county CERT team met last month and had a surprise grid search. We didn't know it was a drill, so had to organize and search. It was fun and a good experience. Tomorrow nights meeting is live fire extinguisher training. Each month is something different. It could be transporting the wounded, splinting or bandaging or even hydration and water disinfection methods after a disaster. We also just met and updated all our gear in preparation for hurricane season. (Virginia coast) It's good to make prepping a hobby.

I agree with your “spidey senses” something is afoot. Unfortunately I and many other folks are in an apartment and limited on what we can do. I myself live on the third floor with no balcony. I’m really limited on what I can do and how I can prepare. I’ve looked into solar batteries but I have no way to safely recharge them. I fear that if I went downstairs to recharge them I could put myself in danger. I envy you for having each other and a home where you can genuinely prepare! The solar system you’ve installed is awesome! But having a relationship with god is the key. We have to trust that whatever is coming we are safe no matter our situation.

it is worth getting a really comprehensive first aid kit at home, which also includes tourniquets for each member of the family, you should practice first aid skills and even take a course if you don't have the skills. it's worth checking if there are any activities in the nearby area where you could practice and map out different skills, sometimes in extreme situations you may have to work in a field kitchen or a field hospital. youtube is a good place to study things, but it's good to practice them with a group and in the right situations, for example spending a week in a cabin without electricity or running water.

here in Europe, people have been reminded to be prepared, after the start of a certain war, the state distributed advertisements asking them to get home supplies that will help them survive for at least 37 hours, some news even pointed out the best route to evacuate.

@@TheProvidentPrepper it is the recommended minimum time, but according to the new guidelines, the advice is as follows 72 hours is the preparedness recommendation for households prepared by the authorities and organizations For example, a prolonged power outage can cause a situation where services provided by society are disrupted or even interrupted. Homes should be prepared to manage independently for at least three days in the event of a disruption. It would be good if you could find food, water and medicine at home for at least three days. It would also be important to know the basics of preparedness, i.e. to know, for example, where to get the right information in the event of a disturbance and how to cope in a cold apartment. Self-preparedness of households is a great help to society and, above all, to the person himself. Therefore, everyone should be prepared for disruptions. I was taught at school in the 90s how to prepare for a nuclear attack, how to protect myself, and these exercises were often done. on the first Monday of every month, we test general danger alarms

one thing you might have forgotten is diapers and urinary catheters, because if the ability to move becomes impaired in a sudden accident, for example, and first aid is not immediately available, diapers are good for absorbing various liquids, catheters can be installed in the bladder, because emptying the bladder is also important, sometimes its function can be disrupted in the event of an accident.

I am an RN. Unless you have personally inserted a urinary catheter as a result of a job in the medical field, and know how, do not do so! You are likely to cause a urinary tract infection. Adult cloth diapers made of 100% cotton are your best bet. Stock up on plenty 100% cranberry juice for a UTI. Stock up on generic cream for jock itch. Get a ton for both men and women. Get a draw sheet for non ambulatory adults. Bed sores are the worst. Your heart is in the right place..Blessings.

You read my mind! As I saw all the unprepared people for Hurricane Beryl, it was eye opening! I did have to go to the store for an appliance extension cord out of caution, but I was shocked to see how many people did not have the basics and were aggravated that Walmart was not open for the storm. I will be picking up another one, but I only took what I needed at that moment as the shelf was down to 2 in the store. Do recommend the Jase medical kit again as the antibiotics have come in handy twice now for me. I can't pull the trigger on solar panels as the hail storms in Texas are becoming more frequent. I have been toying with a solar panel idea that I may implement this fall in cooler weather. Keep in mind some insurance companies in Texas are refusing to insure peeps with solar panels on their roofs. Entire solar farms were wiped out a few months back near my home.

Hi Jill, Something that may help you to mitigate your husband's condition is to research Dr Christopher Exley's substack articles about how silicon-rich natural waters can facilitate the removal of al from our bodies. ( Dr Exley is an honest and dedicated scientist, and shares studies that prove his advice is sound.) I hope and pray this is a help...all the best .I remind myself of this scripture 2 Timothy 1,v 7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. As Jonathan and Kylene have said just do what you can. ( It's all any of us can do...blessings from a grandmum living on my own in a rural area of the South Island, New Zealand.)😘

Of course, uncertain and challenging times lie ahead, but when have they ever been different? But when the spider senses are activated, instead of falling into blind actionism, you should listen carefully to what fears are really behind it. The result could be quite surprising. Often the cause has nothing to do with threats from outside but lies within you.

As always, another great presentation….thank you! Earlier this week, I pulled out my Prep Binder for a quick overview. Yikes, I see by my notes that haven’t been actively updating anything in there for 18 months. Yes, I have the solar generators and the comms - but were they charged? What’s my schedule to recharge equipment? To change stored water? I’ve added more veg seed this week (on sale prices now!) but didn’t have them stored in one place. Or stored in a stay-dry and stay-dark container. My weak point is still the “bug out”. Where do I go? How do I pick a location? I don’t need to gather family and I have no nearby family as a destination. What would be my criteria for selecting a location? Ordering maps from AAA. I’ll need to determine a spot that’s pretty close and not too attractive to masses of folks. Have you done a video on determining destinations?
