I dont have high expectation when I tried to watch,but I like the premise. And then really really love this drama..I even buy express vip to watch it faster and re-watching many of the episodes I thought previously no drama this year will exceed the CP in princess royal..but eventually this CP is very sweet and really love love it.. Becoming the fans of Zhang wan Yi after this drama ❤ acknowledge his good acting since LYF but here he is shinning more as Lord Huaiyang😊

Agree one of the strongest written female leads and romantic stories. I loved the "slower" start to it too, but yes i thought the politics was a bit rushed. Haha ML's aunt getting slapped at the end by his mother was so satisfying!

I agree. I like how the drama never lost its focus on the relationship of the leads. There are dramas that concentrate on plots or themes and there are those that concentrate on character, but there are those that try to do everything all at once and becomes a whole mess. I like how the creators of this one were brave enough to give us a very thin plot (e.g. the political struggle is just given in a one liner text), but a whole lot of details of the mundane and ordinary. This feels like a costume slice of life drama. And double thumbs up on the strong female lead that is still very respectful and kind to her husband. my personal fave quote which I think sums up the drama is from mian tang: "I dont want you to forget that worry and toil are not what we are after. We should enjoy our lives." I think this is the philosophy of the creators, so they did not care about the politics and focused more on the joys of daily life (e.g. ample time for the sweetest wedding)

Totally agree - their chemistry was beautiful. It was refreshing to see a couple work through everything and not only love each other, but like each other. I'm a big fan of the second couple too (so sweet and a bit angsty with her crazy father). 😘

I love the reductive nature of this drama. While there's so much going on around and amongst them, it is basically a classic 'boy meets girl' story. The pacing was good as well. You can start watching it, and before you know it, you're on episode 38. The mixture of drama and humor is nicely balanced. It's a very nice drama.😊

I adore this drama from the beginning to that beautiful ending. I liked Wang Churan since Have a Crush on you😍 and I was waiting for her another role to establish her as a one of the best actresses, personally I think she is one of the most beautiful too. Zhang Wanyi was MEH🙄 in I know I love you, great in LYF, but in this role he is perfect🤩. I predicted after first few episodes that this will be couple of the year, and I am glad that I was right, although some parts of the stories are skipped it didn't spoil my impression. I really like second couple, and I am missing hug between third couple, the empress is one of my favourite of all the time, she is a worthy replacement for FL. Kindness doesn't mean that I am weak and stupid 👑. For me all the plot holes are sewn with best ending🤩. Without unnecessary slaughtering and tragedy all over the place. Yes I want a men and romance like this to every women 😊❤
