I’ve been a wage slave my whole life. I wish I had been more aware when I was young enough to do something about it. But I am glad to see that younger folks waking up to the fact that working for corporate entities or bad bosses is in fact a kind of slavery. I had not taken a vacation longer than a week in twenty years until recently. Now that I am older I am taking longer trips and more trips, because now that I am entering old age my time is very short.

Precisely - it is the nature of the beast which is why this earth is called a 'prison planet' and why 'our souls are encased in meat bags' it is to keep us enslaved. I've noticed in my life that one can tell in children already who is going to 'make it' and who is 'not' - its to do with the 'easy going and co-operative or not being so' - if one is 'easy going and co-operative one is not, unless one is very very lucky going to make it so to speak

Just discovered your channel today. I'm on social security disability insurance for serious chronic mental illness (schizophrenia) and congestive heart failure. Sometimes people tell me I am lucky in that I don't have a job and have a state sponsored disability pension and free health care. Sadly, they may be right. Sure my health is gone, I have no children, and I will probably die young. But I don't have to worry about my meals or health care. Some people, including my own family, think people on disability are drains on society and should be forced to rely on churches and private groups.

@zach464, The connection lies in the loss of economic autonomy and self-sustainability. When individuals are denied access to property and means of production, such as cattle and chickens, they often become dependent on wage labor to survive. Without the ability to generate their own income or resources, they are compelled to sell their labor for wages, effectively becoming wage slaves to those who control the means of production. This loss of control over one's economic destiny can perpetuate a cycle of dependence and exploitation, reinforcing the dynamics of wage slavery. We deserve a universal basic income just for being born into this world, without any requirement of mental illness. I am glad you've been approved for SSD. My brother had schizophrenia too, so I know what you're going through.

Hi Tom, I think people dont lack motivation or goals to escape wage slavery, I think the issue is that they dont know what steps to take to reach their goal of escaping wage slavery. Also people lack the financial management skills to be able to effectively manage money and get their money to work for them as opposed to working for money. The educational system I believe on purpose doesn't teach anything about personal financial management, the system wants us to go to school to learn to be a wage slave to serve the elite! I also agree with you that escaping wage slavery is a process, and you need to take small steps to work towards it, I think everyone can escape wage slavery one small step at a time.

We live in an 'exploit' or 'be exploited' it is the way things are or alternatively "if you do not own any land or do not own the means of production and have to sell your labour to a master in order to eat and pay your rent you are a slave" which for me has always begged the question 'why do people keep bringing more people into this' I was 8 years old when I saw this brutal truth - I never had any children although I never managed to work out how to escape (I'm not exploitative enough I'm co-operative) from the future which I saw then already. When I was at 'boarding school' (I'm an ex Army brat) most of us would just 'swap cigarettes and whatever' but there was one girl amongst who would only part with her cigarettes for a huge profit - don't know where she is now but I suspect she has done very well in life - she knew then already how to make a profit of others - its life. Finally I would like to say why do 'wage slaves' the exploited 90% have children I can understand that the 'rich' breed after all they need someone to pass their gains onto but why do the poor do it! Just asking/saying

Hello Tom, as always your videos are professional! The good thing about financial freedom is that if more and more people from the workforce start becoming financially free, then the companies will be forced to increase wages in order to keep employers, and that is good also for the people that will remain in the workforce. At least they will have larger wages. This is true especially in Europe, because the young labor is very limited, and companies are frustrated if more and more young people become financially free.
