Here’s how you know if your cymbals are angled too steep… The truth is, it all depends on these 4 (actually 5!) factors. Make sure that your cymbals aren’t too flat OR too steep by checking out some practical guidelines for cymbal mounting. We’re talking about cymbal height, striking direction, playing volume (how loud or soft are you playing?), and cymbal size. These factors, combined with our additional 5th factor, all play important roles in determining your cymbal setup. Make sure that you have YOUR cymbals optimally angled! This is also a little bit of an ergonomics discussion, especially pertaining to that 5th factor you’ll just have to watch the video for.
