I have MANY pairs of skates and even though the BB are my cheapest skates they are actually on my top favorite. I love their support and once I changed the cushions and wheels they are amazing. I still choose them over my more expensive skates for trail skating very often.

I’ve been so disheartened when I got my bunnies. Not really even that it’s uncomfortable from needing to be broken in, but feel like it’s heavy and sluggish. Like I’m skating through mud. Can’t keep speed and exhausting . Was already thinking about just selling them and getting something else like BONT PARKSTARS. I want to do trails, street and park with this skate. So if I may ask what’s wheels and cushions did you get?

As an older newish skater, I like that the BB has a longer wheel base than the Lolly, which I also have. I don't feel like I might fall backwards as much. I also always wear my Turtle butt pad to protect my old ass.

Can anyyyyyubody help me , where do men buy roller skates???? It’s so disheartening not being able to find ANY men’s skates from reliable legitimate websites other than China manufactured Amazon cheap ass companies I’ve seen everybody say not to buy. Men have no options for roller skates anywhere , all I want are a pair of outdoor skates I can take to the beach and ride around , I know I already know how to skate so I don’t need a beginner pair , I literally just want a legit pair of skates . Women have all sorts of options and choices but men have literally none . Size 11 skates are impossible to find , there absolutely zero male youtuber who give any useful information , and even online there’s absolutely zero helpful articles. I guess men are allowed to roller skate??? We’re supposed to only roller blade ???? So disheartening I didn’t know roller skating was such a sexist industry .

I literally just seconds before watching this video, ordered my beach bunnies periwinkle. They're not my first skates, I have some Nijdam skates (Dutch brand) which were under 100 euros. So the beach bunnies are an upgrade until I have saved up for Jack boots. I intend to change out the cushions to medium and also get Moxi gummy wheels and brake petals. And maybe an insole, my current skates have okay cushions, as far as i can judge, but I did change out the wheels to energy wheels 78A and they could surely use an insole.

I have Panthers....and I'm plus size. I switched out the lacing to support my ankle area more, switched out the wheels to PULSE wheels, and the toe stops to SUPER GUMBALL. I just got my THICK SET Animal Print pads (the knee pads were what I needed). I wanted a 187 BUM pad but they don't make 2X's🤷🏾‍♀️

It was great to see Peach again! I’d love to see more of her skating now. I was also glad to hear you had to trim the bolts. I was so nervous to do that but my 65mm wheels were hitting it and wouldn’t roll! I couldn’t find anyone mention it in videos so I wondered if it was just me. Also I’m only about a month in and took a good slide at the end of a hill, scrapped up my skates pretty bad. I can’t believe how well yours have held up!

It's nice to see this because I literally had to sit down in the street and tear my beach bunnys off after 10 mins because my arches hurt so bad. Also, I remember watching a dif video of yours where you mention the paper in the toe and I went "pssshh who would miss that?!?!" Lo and behold I got the skates, checked for the toe paper, then tried to put the skates on and went "why are they so TIGHT?!" lmao. It seems like a stupid warning before you actually get them but they really jam that ish in there!

Favorite cheap alternative to insoles....EVA foam. Mostly used for cosplay, but available in many colors, sheets or rolls, and anywhere from 1mm to 10mm in thickness. I personally prefer the 6mm. After a few hours it will...not necessarily "squish", but...it will start to conform to your foot shape. Been using it for a few years now and absolutely love it. I don't think I have a single pair of skates left (13...and counting) that I haven't use the EVA foam with yet. As for breaking in - especially vinyl, printed vinyl, vegan leather, etc. - I just sleep in mine the first two nights. Even my suede/leather ones I'll at least wear to bed the first night. Granted, if you live with a partner, they may not be all that keen on that option, though. LOL And YES!!! Zero Nuts!!!! I love mine...but you do have to be careful with them. Friendly note: Repeated, frequent, wheel changes can weaken the nylon, causing them to fall off at the most inopportune time. Pick your wheels wisely and leave them on. With the bearing coverage, you don't have to clean the bearings as often as you would with regular axle nuts, either, so that's a definite plus in my book. :)

OMG I love Peach’s painted back stay! I have died! SO cool. I love my BB. LOVE. The Panther is honestly the best skate I have. Your BB will just become SUPER soft over time. Mine are just squishy after about 6 months. I vote for Bowie in tattoo style on the side of your BB, given they are already pet themed! I love the artist who does Shove’s stickers. You can get dremels from Amazon, of course, and you can use them to saw off the excess just like Peach did. It’s not so bad! I swear! :D

I recently got a pair of Moxi ivy jungle in a Black Friday sale on a huge discount (they were £75 instead of £200) so I used some of these tips to modify them - new softer bushings & a gel insert later I’m a happy roller! I also applied the tips to my favourite everyday Chaya skates and it’s a world of difference! Thank you!

I am loving the wheels that come with them. They are just the right pace and roll well indoors. I would only go harder wheels if I want to go faster. I can tell they are not gummy enough for outdoor if i want to avoid feeling all the rubble and cracks outdoors.

My bunnies are my babies and I have loved on them super hard at the parks. I will say that they're great for the ankle support and on longevity I would say if you take care of them, they can last you a good long while. I'm coming up on a whole year of using then and they're going strong.

I started with the BB and loved them. Just make sure you get the right size. I got an 8 because I wear a 9 but they were too big after they were broken in. I never skated in the Luna's but I have Moonboots and for me the BB were a way better skate! Hope this helps. 😁

I also modified my beach bunnies with different wheels, bearings and laces. The stock laces were so slippery and would come untied quite often. I changed the wheels to the gummy wheels for outdoor use and the fundae wheels for my basement/rink. My husband skateboards and helped me find the perfect bearings. I really need insoles because my arches are starting to fall 😬 My lolly’s are my favorite skates! Now that the weather is getting warmer, they breathe and allow my feet to not sweat as much. I just bought another set of Fundae wheels because I love the agility and smoothness of them❤️ I only need insoles and laces right now. My bunnies are in the floss color and my lolly’s are strawberry (with lime green gummy wheels and the green trick wheels). I love pink and green together! The color combo is so spring/summer!

I've heard that zero nuts are great for those luminous wheels so you don't have to turn the regular nut around to prevent the nuts from falling off.

If you are dealing with the long kingpin issue after upgrading your cushions you can also use nylon washers. I took my skate to the hardware store to figure out what size fit perfectly. I put 2 washers right under the metal cup that holds the bottom cushion, but above the metal washer the bunnies come with and it really made a difference.

I put Dr Scholls arch supports in all my shoes, so yeah, skates as well. But they could make them very tight. I bought a pair of cheap skates $60 from Amazon and the screws were nearly touching the wheels. I cut the ends of the screws off with bolt cutters. They had light up wheels but sketchy feeling, probably not round and didn't roll good. Sold for $35

I have flat feet, so for both derby and my BBs, I need to use a rigid insole with arch support. I use Superfeet Blue insoles (thanks to a fitting at REI) and they help a TON.

I just got my BB and they’re so beautiful! They definitely are a little uncomfortable. My right pinky toe is way bigger than the left from when I stubbed it a while back. It definitely makes the right skate feel worse than the left. I’m going to try everything you’re recommending!

Today was my first day skating in my new beach bunnies and they made my toes numb. They are my size and I had them tied right then I loosened it and they were more comfortable but the toe stops honestly suck in my opinion. They are super stiff and I don’t know what to do

Yeah so the beach bunnies need to be broken in, and it takes a solid 10 ish hours to break them in, and they should be a lot better.

I am so happy about this video, because I love my Beach Bunnies, but am very unsure on whether I should invest in upgrades (even though I started skating last year I haven't had much time and am therefore still a bloody beginner 😅😂). I just wanted to ask if it is, theoretically, possible to skate on asphalt with the wheels and cushions the Beach Bunnies came with - I personally fall down as soon as I set foot (in skates, of course) on asphalt, but I don't know whether that is due to my lack of skill or because it is just not possible to skate on asphalt without for example the Moxi Gummy Wheels. But since the Beach Bunny wheels are with a hardness of 78A technically one of the softest wheels one can get (if I'm not misinformed), I don't know if another outdoor wheel would really change much - maybe it's just not possible to roller skate on rough asphalt? Thank you so much for your time, I loved this video as I loved your other ones, Rebel (and Peach as a guest was absolutely wonderful, too!)! If you had an answer to my problem and it wasn't too much trouble, I'd really appreciate an answer ❤

So I just changed my wheels and I feel like I fell a lot too. I felt like I was getting stuck in doing moves like Bubbles and just striding in general. I changed to some Radar Energy wheels that are literally the same hardness (78a) and when I tell you the difference was like Night and Day!! I was on concrete/asphalt gliding and was much more comfortable using my weight to turn.

The insole that came with my Lollys were a no go so I went to boot barn and got the men’s insole for cowboy boots. (14.99) and I was able to cut to size 😁 best investment ever!

i got the powerdyne universal magic cushions in 82a and sure grip cushion retainers (so that the barrel shaped cushions would fit on the skates). if you buy the powerdyne reactor magic cushions it would fit your beach bunny plate without buying new retainers because it has both barrel and cone shaped cushions. however, the kingpin will likely protrude (as demonstrated in this video). i primarily shop at sk8ratz, but i’m sure many local skate shops carry these items.

Can you make a lolly versus beach bunny sizing comparison?

I would say that the beach bunny and lolly have the same size length according to the sizing chart, but the bunny will feel tighter due to the vegan leather. The lolly can accommodate wider feet because the suede stretches and is more forgiving. People with wide feet tend to find the beach bunnies to be too narrow. I would recommend a suede skate over the bunny if you have wide feet.
