I'm pretty sure we didn't have a band name yet. At the time of demoing this in 1997, Dan Foord (Sikth) and Glenn Abel (Embodiment) were not yet in the picture to become the drummer and bassist, so this really is just two best friends trying to put a band together and having fun along the way! I remember Jeremy saying something along the lines of "there is a piano at my dad's house with 8 drum beats built in, so bring your 8 track and let's demo a song". Back then, you had to press a button for a drum fill, and listening to this really brought a smile to my face because I get to remember where we started, and what we had to do. We had no way of programming drums, so we had to pick the beat closest to what we wanted, and that would have to do! There are actually 2 versions, both recorded almost at the same time, so there is one more to come where Jeremy also takes on bass duties!. I am 99.9% sure this is the first ever recording of any AREA 54 song. Until now, the last time I heard this was when we made it in 1997. All the uploads are about appreciating the journey, all the band members, the people I met along the way. It's also about reminding myself to remember and appreciate the wonderful memories that this band helped create. Area 54 didn't blow up into a massive band, but that never mattered to me; in fact I'm glad it didn't! This band was the best time of my life and I wouldn't change a thing! I've made three awesome decisions in my life - that's it! the first one was to do A54! Thank you, Jeremy, for helping me get the band started, I couldn't have got it off the ground without you; you're one of a kind!
