It sucks how no one ever mentions that you can play NES, SNES, GB, GBC and GBA (plus more) on a micro with a flash cartridge. This is quite literally the best version of the Gameboy, as long as you can stand the size. It has the best screen brightness, resolution and color reproduction, it has a better battery than the SP, and it also has a headphone jack.

Well, I just mention what it can play out of the box. Flash Cartridge Homebrew is "aftermarket" essentially. (Although it does make the GBA the most insanely great little device.)

Um... with the SNES emulator, it won't run well at all. Not every snes game will work, let alone be playable. Every game you try would not run perfectly. Also yah ik this vid was made 5 years ago so I didnt need to say this.

I just found this really good deal on eBay: Gameboy Micro with 10 games, charger, and a case for $90! But my dad made an offer for $75 and buyed it for me. I can't wait for it to arrive! :-D

I have small hands and while I love my new Nintendo 3DS (the small one with colorful buttons) I can't fit in a small bag or my pocket. The only way it fits is if I wear cargo pants and I can't wear those to work. I want the micro because of its tiny portability. Gaming devices are getting bigger nowadays. I have a Nvidia shield portable but it so bulky, it takes too much space in my bag.

It's usually included with the Game Boy Micro in the packaging. If you need one and don't have one, eBay is probably your best bet.

One more question, I got a Micro the other day but the faceplate wouldn't stay on, do you think that is an issue with the Micro or the faceplate? I took it back and got my money back anyway. As I seen a better deal on ebay as I offered 60 pounds for a Gameboy colour, F1 Race, Mortal Kombat, Pit Fighter, Fortified Zone all on the gameboy and then the pink Micro, Mario Vs Donkey Kong, Mario Advance Japan version, Crash Bandicoot 2 boxed and Medabots, with the plugs and I accepted 67 for all of that. :)

The thing with big hands is that even though the micro is small your hands are placed apart. Whereas the GBA SP has your hands extremely close together which is worse for people with big hands

If you want "True" portability, I recommend the GBA SP AGS-101 over the Game Boy Micro.

Between all three units, I paid under $200. I bought a Black one when it came out for about $100 at Wal-Mart. Bought a Black one for about $35 at Hastings later on when they were frequently discounted. Bought the Famicom Color one for about $40 at a Game Store. Over the years, not toooooo expensive back then. They are pricey now though and rare. I would say they're worth at least $100 or so.

Just got mine from a place in Springfield Missouri called vintage stock they carry so many retro things it's not even funny and they have 2 store in Springfield alone another place for that east coast would be Cary town's the tech exchange in Richmond va it's a neat place too

Managed to get a deal for one with 7 games including pokemon sapphire for $90. I already have almost all of the games included so I'll just be selling them to regain some of the money I spent on the micro.

+Mario Rodriguez That's how it goes! You got a fantastic deal. Just make sure the Sapphire battery saves! A working Pokemon Sapphire is worth about $19.99 to $24.99 on eBay. Some game stores will pay that in store credit. What are the other games?

Sapphire had a dead battery but I've been replacing batteries on games with the electric tape method for years so I was able to fix that easily. Sold it the very same day I got it along with Super Mario Advance 4. I really like those two games but I already had them in my collection. The others might be hard to get rid of because they're really cheap games but Chicken Little, Pac-Man Collection, DBZ The Legacy of Goku 2 (unfortunately has no label), Yu-Gi-Oh 2004, and Spongebob. Might try to sell them as a lot or just keep them as trade fodder but I got about 35 for the first two games so I'm already happy with the purchase. Especially since micros go for $90 by themselves if you want one in decent condition. Definitely had to leave the seller great ratings on this deal.

+Mario Rodriguez Excellent! DBZ games are always popular and that Pac-Man Collection is decent. Adding them to a lot is your best bet. Do you frequent R/GameCollecting on Reddit? There are always people willing to trade.

I don't actually. I've always been kind of turned off by forums selling/trading. I know there are a lot of great people but it's probably also extremely easy to just get ripped off and then what can you do? But it's not a big deal. The pac-man, dbz, and yugioh game are all games I'd probably be interested in personally anyway so if anything I'll just keep them. Thanks for the tip tho!

+Gman Mister After the Game Boy Player came out, many of Nintendo's first party games listed the Game Boy Player as being compatible with them in the opening rolls. Several titles do this and it is because some games had optimized contrast options specifically for display on the TV. Similar to games like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap which have different brightness settings for when the game is played on a GBA, GBA SP, or the Game Boy Player. No, the cartridge is not fake. It's similar to how some Vita titles have packaging that states they work with the PS TV and a few of those games list the PS TV logo in their opening credits.
