I swear, Area Zero is one of the best things to come out of Pokemon in years. The ethereal, unearthly and emotional feel of it, the feeling that you ought not to be there, as it segways into that feeling as a story point about messing with the natural order of things and the personal consequences large and small. I think it really all suits your instrument and play style well.

Honestly, Area Zero and the events of it alone are enough to have SV rank quite high amongst Pokemon games for me. It's such a familiar yet distinct enough ethereal hidden land, perfectly conveys that feeling of essentially Jurassic Park/Area 51 but made out of dreams and reality bending forced still unknown to science. Yet even being released so close with Legends Arceus and that Pokemon lore thread, manages to feel distinct and unrelated to it, completely different ancient spacetime bending creation energy to any of those motifs. It's actually extremely impressive they pulled off that setting on 2 separate occasions.

I so wish my high school orchestra teacher taught me more than "Merry had a little lamb" and "Twinkle twinkle little star". Now I'm in my late 20s and still wanting to (firstly, afford) continue learning cello. My time with the cello was brief and limited, but I still loved it.

I hear you, those beginning years can be kind of tedious if you're not playing music you really like. But there are lots of teachers out there who are better at teaching adults and better at working on music their students care about, so I think your cello future is still open to you :)
