It still strikes me how much of a pleasure of an experience RDR2 Online is. Online games don't usually have great writing on their own, the stories of the players are (usually) more important, but RDR2 Online kept the same caliber of writing that the singleplayer campaign had. So much genuine love and heart when into all aspects of this game.

I recently started playing Red Dead Online again. I originally played it back when they still had a severe issue with buggy and almost non-existent animals to hunt. This game is still fun despite Rockstar and Take Two having basically abandoned it. I don't join posses in game, but if you see MoonlightCandle running around in online, that's me. Don't worry, I'm a friendly player. I might accidentally crash my horse into yours...but it's completely unintentional I swear lmao

Not sure you played rdo before but heres some tips for you The more time spent on a mission more money you get First few weapons you should go for is either a navy revolver or lemat with landcaster reapeter and semi auto shotgun First horse you should but is mustang If your weapons are dirty they do less damage so clean up You can buy your first off hand holster via the gun smith For etta doyle bounty you can farm it solo if you were to wait around 25 to 30 mins you get the most money around $150+ or more

I just started a new character. I played twice at lauch and abandoned it until now. The missions are actually good and the money and gold is not a ridiculous grind anymore. After a week of playing ive got all the roles besides Naturalist and Hired Gun. Bounty Hunter is the biggest grind BUT you get gold every bounty. 3 sessions of Collector got me to level 40 and $2000 which allowed me to but the Rolling Block Rifle with max upgrades, two Navy revolvers maxed, and the extra holster. Havent seen any hackers but have run into some buttchuggers who I dealt with via hogtie and tea bag before executing. Parley is your friend when people are griefing during Moonshine and Trader sells. Free Roam Events are badly designed, have terrible pay, and take too long. Most of the coolest cosmetics are locked behind gold. Rockstar still hasnt learned that no one wants more enemies than you started fighting to spawn behind you mid fight. Too much is locked behind rank, incuding dual wielding sidearms at level 30ish. Game is fun otherwise but I see myself running out of content once I finish the main story, which is forced multiplayer so if you fail to find anyone in matchmaking you just cant play the mission at that time. I think Rockstar is run by people who dont game.

As a new player for red dead online, I find it hard to get gold bars, even though I knew how to get them, I couldn’t find any missions to do, any story missions to do, the only type of missions that I could do easily is from the stranger from the station… which doesn’t pay much, but I tend to make it a side hustle for my hunting career that makes me money, but not gold bars which is sad, and also wastes my ammo. Though the treasure maps can pay good, they also play good in gold bars as well. I’m not sure if this will help new players, but this is just what read dead online won’t do, and can do to you

I'd recommend you grind out Blood Money missions for example. You can do them solo and they do pay gold bars. You can also buy a Bounty Hunter's license and do the legendary bounties over and over again because they take a while (the longer you spend in a mission, the more gold bars you get) and they pay decent money, while being very fun. Money in this game is not a problem, I have so much, I don't even know what to spend it on and gold bars will just come by themselves by playing missions and doing daylies (especially doing daylies). You don't need to do story missions or any other co-op missions to get gold bars, you can get them way easier just play doing solo missions and keeping an eye on your dailies really
