Hey @Teika Samuda did your areca grew well I bought one and it's leaves are green but still it turned out brittle 😢 The temperature here where I live is a bit high nearly above 30 degrees Is temperature a reason?

It also grows well in a north west facing window not in direct sunlight this plant feels majestic to me, water it once a week I purchased it at H Depot for $14.00 now it's worth about $80.00 now and it's taller than me @ 6 feet. Happy Growing....

Areca palm does get attacked easily with white termites, bacteria , and over all infectious so even though we cut and throw away the affected stems they had spread so fast that other stems do get affected. Suggest on this part.

Wonderful information 👌. I had tried growing this plant a number of times but each time I bought this plant it died on me after a few months. Guess it must be due to the harsh winters of Delhi and lack of direct sunlight during those winter months. But I love this plant. Please make a video on use of egg shells in the garden soil mix. Please tell if it is useful for soil aeration, does it loosen the soil? Is it a replacement for perlite?does it increase the fertility of the soil in any way and if so how finely should it be crushed to make it useful for the plants.

Whenever I buy Areca... The soil which comes from the nursery is often not the right one... And no matter how much I try... The soil hugging the roots holds a lot of water and harm it... What should I do???? Should I totally remove the soil it comes with and use my own soil in the first go?

Mam I have two 6 feet areacas, both were doing well till mid April, but after that one of them stopped growing like someone said 'statue' to it. It was completely paused with its Half open leaves. And after May and bigning of June other leaves start drying, meanwhile second plant was doing very well. Baithe have same size of pot, same soil and same watering pattern. Then I plant the drying plant in my lawn direct in soil and hoping for good. It is stable now no new dryness. But now I m facing the same problm with second one. It also stopped from last one month. And I really don't want to remove it from pot because this one is soul of the please where placed. Plz tell me what should I do.
