Mam if I propogate the snake edges snake plant by cutting than new baby plant come out is the same as the mother plant like yellow edges sanke plant or a normal green plant please reply 🙏
@reggieferns2 жыл бұрын
No if you cut the 'leaf' and propagate those cuttings then it will revert to green. You will lose the Laurentii yellow border. The new growth will be a regular green snake plant. The only way to ensure you keep the yellow border is if you take a whole plant and put it in new pot.
@neonartsandcrafts2 жыл бұрын

Hi this video is very informative will get a snake plant soon. I have 1 Allamanda plant in a 12 inch pot. It has been growing well new leaves are coming it gives flowers as well, all the vines are also growing very tall, however, old leaves are turning yellow a lot. I have kept it in direct sunlight and water it only when the top of the soil is dried. Don't know why the old leaves are dying. And the colour of the new leaves is also not very dark green it is a bit lighter shade of green. Is it too much light? Or it might need repoting? I'm also giving NPK 15 15 15.

You should have planted the baby plant ( from the first plant which had rotted) in a different pot. It is a different variety from the second tall snake plant

My snake plant, which i brought nearly 6 months ago, is still at same when i first brought it. It had one bud coming out so I planted in different pot. Since that 2 new leaves coming up but not much growth for months, even after frequent shifting to well lit area. What can I do for my plant?
@britonjohnny2 жыл бұрын
6 months back, I bought around 24 pots of snake plant to decorate both sides of the stairway in my house. Each pot having excatly 3 leaves. There is sufficent natural for the plants & sufficent water is provided for them. Yet to this day, not a single new leaf has popped out. Upon inspection, nothing looks out of the ordinary & all plants look healthy.

@ellietobe Жыл бұрын
This is the first I have seen someone grow the snake plant in coco Peat and potting soil. Usually I see people growing them in soil that drains very well….something like succulent soil. I bought my first snake plants about a year ago (dwarf) and planted them near the center of two different succulent arrangements; so they have been growing in succulent soil for a year. They both put off babies sometime during the winter so I am assuming that they like their present home conditions. Someone recently gave me a larger type of snake plant and I potted it in succulent soil. It has only been a couple of weeks so I don’t know yet how it will do but so far it is looking good. My problem is that it is not getting a great deal of light where it is. I hope that it will be alright. I’m running out of window space. I hope that I will not have to buy another grow light for this one.
