The book says that they need sun and water, but are tender to cold and should really only be grown in zone 10, though personally, I’ve seen them in Orlando and Tampa and also in very shady spots, so I don’t think you can go wrong as long as you rarely freeze and have well draining soil. Thanks!

They don't do well in full sun in places with low humidity. If you live in a drier climate, part shade would be better (they're a deeper green when grown in partial shade)

Ah yes golden cane palms are a very common species in south east asia and south asia ,I live in myanmar which is in south east asia so theses palms are pretty easy to find , they are pretty much every where and produce inedible fruits..... so beware. :/

@ Yeah I’ve noticed they usually need a nice fertilizing program as well to keep them looking strong.
