For those that want to do the double Colossal Sword for a single playthrough, I highly recommend the Watchdog’s Greatsword. It can be obtained in the Consecrated Snowfields, and it is able to infuse ashes and be buffed. It is a little weaker than the Greatsword in base damage, but makes up for it by being S scaling when changed to Heavy.

@@dr4cu14 you wanna rock str endurance and vigor in that priority, when you go heavy you say f dex, it's lit! If you wanna go for faith buffs I think it's 24 for golden vow, definitely extra icing on the cake especially if your going above to 150 instead of 120. I'd also recommend a couple points in mind, finding myself running out of FP pretty fast Rocking double royal knights resolve and if you wanna run golden vow or that hound step more fp worth even hoarfrost stomp for early garlic cheesebread. Overall fuck dex arcane and intelligence. Max out str and endurance.

Also pat knack I haven't seen the damage but yes if it's scaling damage is higher with heavy than regular str and dex, which it def should be, it ends up being a better option. idk why math is hard for people but I guess maybe some dont realize scaling yet. Test it out let us know yo!!

I'd recommend using the Raptors black feather chest piece as it increases jump attack damage by 10% then the claw talisman (same effect), ritual sword talisman when max HP you do I think 15% more attack damage

There is actually another lift you can take from the Temple of Eigly that is a more straightforward route. There is a door off to the side, hang a right and there is a tower with a lift in it. Takes you straight to the balcony with the lizardmen. Love your vids Arekkz

Literally 2nd tried Melania with this build, SO crazy. It's not one shot (obviously, she's like super endgame and I haven't grinded levels), but it takes a MASSIVE chunk every time you pull off a combo and staggers her INSANELY quickly (I used the hammers he recommended, not sure if they have higher stagger than the Guts Swords). Thanks heaps for the chad build!

4:30 Just a heads up, the footage your watching is very likely level 25 weapons (end game) I run this build, is does work but the big problem is you'll need around 45-60 endurance/strength, pot talisman, mana/ faith. So don't expect to be doing what he's showing until around level 80-100+ easy.

@@as9_robot243 not a simple answer. You'll see results mid game, for me I think I was around lvl 80 before I started dominating. It requires alot of prep/ stats and items. It will take a while but I still somewhat enjoy it more then a caster. Just remember if you do try it you'll need the same type of weapons in both hands to do thre jumping attack

Turns out you can do more damage with a single giant-crusher. I was actually testing this build out and noticed that I could stack more buffs for charge attacks than I could jumps. Through a ton of buffs you can get a single charge attack from the crusher to do 6671 damage. It's less practical than this setup in the video but it's crazy how much a single attack can do.

@@testever8464 Testing was done on a RL150 STR build where I respec'd to have 80 strength and enough faith to use a couple incants. I had the giant crusher set to the heavy affinity and I was using the charge attack flask tear and the charge attack talisman. I was also using the "more damage when at full HP" talisman. The buffs I used are as follows: Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength, Exalted Flesh, Royal Knight's Resolve.

there is another to get the ashe of war rather than using the keys, doing a jump from the bridge just before the godskin noble boss and getting behind the maiden and then walking through the door leads you directly to the ashe

I use a Str/Int build with the Guts Sword + Lion's Claw. That ash of war do Str damage, but if the weapon got the "magic" attribute in it, it do Str damage AND Int damage, so it doubles. It takes me a couple swings to kill any boss :3 Sadly, it won't work with the Mimic Tear, but at least it tanks while I do the damage

@@tubinauta420 late game typical your Dex weapons or magic builds can demolish with one or two shots because they’re fast and consecutive. Colossal swords have a lot of damage but they’re just pure slower then dex or magic so you’ll need to be on your feet constantly. Because of how slow they can be despite of buffs or increasing your strength. It will never match the speed of other weapons of magic. They can still be crazy strong however, just not a one tap weapon.

Tarnished using Howl of Shabriri, for its damage boost would benefit greatly by wearing the Black Dumpling Helm. While wearing the Black Dumpling one can boost their damage another 10% for 60 seconds after you suffer Madness. Especially when going for that boss 1 shot build.

While it is very nice to have the buff before the fight and doing a large chunk to start, I would argue that if you have an opportunity mid-fight to buff the weapons by 80%, you could just attack again for an additional 100% damage.

it's not always viable to land two successful strikes in a row with such slow weapons often.

@@DyabeeteezTV I totally agree it's not always viable, but it's less often to to have an opening to buff rather than attack. It takes about just as long to buff both weapons after an attack if you have the opening, like during a stagger as was shown in the video, and you get less damage than if you were to just attack again. You'd only want to buff if you have distance, but generally you'd want to stay close to most bosses with this. I just think it'd be better to just stay in the zone and be ready to attack rather than being ready to waste a chance to attack by buffing.

@Khai Tong I pretty much soft capped my strength, mixed in arcane with stamina and health at the later levels. I ran a bleed and poison or rot on each of my guts greatswords. Luckily that build is cracked and my first playthrough was a blast. If I remember right I got just enough str to dual wield and then did arcane and stamina first. Then health around lvl 90 or so

My Guts build does 4950 dmg (Lion's Claw) to the Albenarics near the Bird Farm, at lvl 217, and I'd love to invade with him...but connection errors. I did get to have a few fights though and they were all one-shot affairs. They really need to fix PvP.

Side note, this setup is great for all melee builds. Super easy to put together and massive burst damage. Especially if you love jump attacks because bosses don't allow combos in Elden Ring.

This is true! I tested it with blasphemous blade and sword of milos. Golden vow and fire buff only give L2 attack with blasphemous stronger, but melee damage actually gets weaker with buff activated

I saw that if you apply the buff to the off hand then switch to main hand that doesnt have the buff applied would still get the benefits of having the buff without losing it after the first strike. If so, I wonder if you do that and use Lion's Claw ash of war on main hand, and see how much damage you do

That's only on spells. The buff is only consumed if you actually hit something with your main hand, so you can use Knight's Resolve and use spells for increased damage without consuming the buff.

You can but it will require you to level up a bit more. This is due to your strengh starting out a bit lower compared to other classes. If your early in the game then it might be better to start a new character.

Could this be done just when you start the game? There is a way to farm runes and shards so you can upgrade you character but can you farm this build up aswell?

You're gona need 31 strength to equipe the sword wich is not too much but the ash of war is too far you can't just rush there and to upgrade the weapon you need to kill some bosses in caves for bell bearings or what ever they're called

You can get the Greatsword in Caelid early and you can buy the Zweihander colossal GS in the isolated merchant in the weeping peninsula. Just google the locations. I recommend getting the steed first for explorations.

Guys I got Greatsword and Bloodhund Fang and I want to use them in each hand sd dusl wield options. I also killed a sleeping dragon so I had over 200k ( dragon + runes ) runes and I lvl up my char a bit. I went strenght 33, Endurance about 20 ( Eqp load 65.6 ) but my char is slow. L1 attack is only for left hand and not both like it should be, attacks are so slow I can barely kill normal mobs. Do you have advice what stats should I lvl fo be fast with heavy weapons and what items to get so this jump attacks start working?
