I watched this video, seen an M110 for sale as a boneyard listing! I then decided to purchase, with the intent of fixing! Why not, I've been armed with the knowledge of the Luke, and now it fires! I'm currently tuning to our field limits, and yes I've put an air seal in it so I'm chasing those little gremlins. Thanks for all the helpful advice.

@@pbdimitri, SHS hop rotary unit, guarder hop rubber, SHS piston.. i think? I have two guns with him for service at the moment so will get the full parts list from him when i pick them up (he tried a lot of stuff and i forgot lol) I will post the list of parts on here next weekend for you! :)

@@albloke Thank you so much! I actually just recieved mine for a trade of like 200$ worth of warhammer junk lol, and the hop up was cracked. Chucked an extra vfc hop in there and the gun is feeding and shooting even better than with the ares already. Definitely need to replace that piston though, Much appreciated mate

@@pbdimitri no worries and glad you got it nearly sorted and good trade!! A word of warning if you strip the gun, be careful when you put the retaining pin back into the left hand bolt release, mine fell out and i lost the bolt release on the way to get my gun chrono'd at this years NAF, not good! I am still waiting on my guns from Luke, he is trying to find parts for my old King Arms FAL and L1A1 so i havn't asked him about the final build parts list yet, will post it on here as soon as i can bud

Just finished with one of those in amoeba honey badger form, the owner "fixed fps" ( same bad air seal ) with m140 spring. Gun is now (new nozzle) shooting 2.25j on .32 (~493fps ).

I had almost exactly the same problem with my mate's honey badger. Looked like the shop he bought it from chucked in a bunch of grease and a massive spring, ended up firing 460fps on .2s when I fixed the compression....

Question for ya, what nozzle size did you use? If you changed from the Ares standard 21.2mm what tappet plate did you use?

I've got one of these that was doing around 415 of of the box and works great. Hopping 0.3's really nice. Sounds like I must be lucky.

dude, I'm wondering if the a&k/G&P gearbox v2.5 woud fit an Ares M110 (of course with tons of filing, a&K mags, regular hop up and other engeneering/black magic modifications) I mean, the ares M110 reciever has tons of space in the rear and also in the front part of the reciever. thanks, keep the great work!

If you did put in oem ares bushings, that’s going to be a slight problem (unless they are the newer one which supposedly are better). My honey badgers bushing wore out in less than 5k rounds, the bevel being the worst for wear, literally the gear axial could move at least 1mm if not more...replacesd that crap with lonex steel bushing

@Johnny Dong unfortunately it doesn't as the hop unit is proprietary and the gearbox says v2 but it isn't a standard v2

@@ricknoobje9929 Don't go mad money & don't cheap out either. Generally a £30 barrel & a maple leaf rubber will do you well but if you can use a ZCI hop unit, you're golden.

Ares got a very useable E.F.C.S. system, but indeed, I have to swap out almost EVERYTHING to make the air compression right... Now it runs M110 with 1.64 Jouls with a little bit Joule creep. Also, the stock hop-up unit and bucking are absolute trash. I understand its design but no concave for nubs? It's making everything so hard for me to do flat hop or R hop... It got a nice trigger pull, but it is a pain in the ass to make everything work, especially after all the money put into it. Not going to recommend it unless you got a thing with E.F.C.S.
