R.I.P. Aretha! I grew up to your voice being a 70s baby. My mother played Aretha's music as far back as I can remember, both her gospel & pop. One song stands out for me as a child I truly loved bcuz my mom played it allllllll the time. That song was called Angel, written by her sister Carolyn. That song is easily one of my favorites, especially later in life. I lost my oldest sister in 1984 & I always think of her & my mother whenever I hear it. I loved her music, she had a special gift that I will truly miss. Ms. Franklin also looks *A LOT* like my mother as well, so it feels almost like I lost my own mother! You will be greatly missed!
