My cousin Jimmy Johnson help record this album I believe. They first met and worked together at Fame when they first met in Muscle Shoals. He invented many of the rifts she use like ‘Respect’ they have a heavy red head guy playing him in Aretha the move with Jennifer Hudson, he slightly looked similar. This bring back warm feeling with my family in the Tri-Cities. I heard a lot of great music in my childhood. I really miss him he reminds me of Dad they had the same Grandparents.

Especially if he messed on payday (like chain a fool or me oh my😮)Back then children were only interested in dancing to the beat. As I listen to her lyrics as an adult. Aretha was romantic at heart(Daring you send me)❤)and she didn't have problem stalking a brother if need be( Until you comeback to me😅)Thanks for the great memories. There's not artist living or dead worthy of being called a QUEEN. Aretha was multitalented, classy and she wrote her own lyrics. Aretha never needed an entourage. Aretha stood alone. RIP👸🏽❤️🕊️💐🎤

There's no DOUBT, the QUEEN, but this VOICE sang with & set loose on the world, the White SOUL SISTER FROM ABERDEEN- ANNIE LENNOX. " SISTERS ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES!" Years later ARETHA would call ANNIE back to the States to do ," Chain of Fools." ANNIE flew in from London & did just that. European singers were heavily influenced by ARETHA. Does anyone remember Lisa Stansfield? These singers today ,CANNOT hold a candle to ARETHA, but ARETHA DOESN'Tsing with just anyone; that honor was granted to ANNIE LENNOX, my favorite singer/songwriter. I speak as a professional recording artist myself and a fan.

Simon and Garfunkel who wrote it recognize this as THE version! They put it on their greatest hits track instead of their recording!

I'm also 63 and still rocking with the Queen of Soul. I still have an 8 track which has a few of her songs on it like Spanish Harlem. We were doing the 4 corners dance back then. Go Re Re!!💜😘🌹😊🎤🍷

Many of those songs were recorded in Muscle Shoals Studio, Alabama(that's middle of the most conservative Southern states) which means most musicians backing up were whites including Duane Allman.

Ms, Aretha Franklin an Original! Singing in the Heavens above! She earned the Title of Queen of Soul. We love you Ms. Franklin. Thank you for the memories. I’ve listened to her songs since childhood! Had a record collection. Every Saturday morning we played her records . I’m 70 s years young. No one comes close to her talent. Notice, I said records. That’s old technology but was still Enjoyable.
