I saw this live. About half the crowd left, this was after the Clapton solo set, close to midnight. Bill Murray was imploring people to not leave, best is yet to come, but they did. This was beyond incredible. What possessed Robert Randolph to do what he did.................maybe he was supposed to, but the whole thing was surreal. BB King told Clapton, Cray and Vaughn that if he had to sit they had to as well. And then they did what they did. Since so many people had left it was easy to maneuver close to the stage, the look on King's face during the song was amazing, it was like he was young again.

When I was a boy, my dad took me to a BB King concert in our hometown (the 1993 "Jazz en Nord" blues festival in Tourcoing, North of France). I was probably one of the only kids in there. At one point, he started shaking the hands of the people close to the stage. Unfortunately, I was a meter away, on my dad's shoulders. I reached and reeeeached out my hand to the King... But it seemed like he didn't notice me... Until he stopped walking, set his eyes on me and said "YOU !"... and shook my hand :) The smile on my face must have been larger than the concert hall we were in!

I really hope that someday maybe passed 2050 or 2060 some young man finds this video and finds it well. I was born in 2000 and from what I’ve seen growing up, our world has lost a lot of patience and love and it seems to continue down a path further and further away from the good side. It’s a tough world out there but I know that if I can find the blues as near and dear as I do, they’re bound to stay forever and ever. I’ve never felt something quite like the feeling one gets from listening to blues music and this stage is full of 100% blues blood brothers. It’s truly beautiful to still have video of live shows they had from their prime. It’s inspiring and slightly overwhelming to know how much blues can do for someone in hard times. Most don’t even bother trying to understand it and it’s hurtful to see but I will never stop listening to the best thing humans have ever created. The blues will always be here.. ALWAYS!! P.S. that steel guitar solo in the end was absolutely amazing 😮💨 someone buttered his glass.

I am blessed to be a woman of 61 from Little Rock Arkansas, Memphis, and Nashville TN. Growing up we would head to Memphis every week-end. Disco, Blues, Rock n Roll. Any live venues we could find when we were 16 to 22. The age limit was 21 in Arkansas and 18 in Memphis. A whole car load of girls in a Vega would go to Memphis with mini dresses and rollers in our hair. We seen so many greats and made so many memories. I think I have danced on every bar on Cooper and Madison, and Beale Street at one time or another in my young life. Different times back then for sure. It's a wonder my liver has held out this long. I am lucky enough to have been an amateur photographer. I am joining now with a painter of blues artist here in Nashville. My kids grew up listening to all of the Cadillac Records, Motown, and any blues we could get a hold of a record for. They can tell you about Howlin Wolfe, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and W.C. Handy's composition of “Memphis Blues.” Yes, I am blessed.

Aw man! Bless you sir that you would be 80 in July. My dad will be 80 this year as well, but his birthday is in August. He likes blues and "oldies but goodies" songs and so do I. I'm 44 and they don't make old school music anymore like they used to back in those years.

It's interesting in these BB King videos where he's playing with a who's-who of other established players, that he doesn't try to ego-maniacally play the "iconic-legend" card, and be the center of attention. Instead, he is always humble and respectful of their talents, and seems genuinely as happy to be on-stage with them, as they are with him.

Remember yesterday is gone forever, tomorrow may never come again. Only today matters, only this moment belongs to you, keep smiling and enjoy every moment of your life. That's life, none of us will ever come out alive anyway. Don't wait any longer, eat delicious things. Go out and enjoy the sun, go swimming, tell the truth you have always kept, be crazy, be good, be weird. There is no time for anything else. Enjoy the present moment and make every moment magical. Live in the moment. Be grateful for the little things life offers you and also to the people around you. Rejoice every moment, and soon will dawn the day when everything will be better. Don't dream, live! Don't apologize, assume! Do not hesitate, go for it! Listen to this song - enjoy.
