I remember watching this with modest interest at the time; Argentina were obviously a talented and major side and fun to watch for their skills, and I wanted to see if the underdogs Jamaica could do alright or even cause an upset. They didn't look too bad in the first half and for a side from a small country without a notable footballing history it was doubly impressive for them to be only 1-0 down at half time, but as the second half progressed the score began to resemble what one would have expected beforehand. In that second period Batistuta was making the Jamaicans' defensive flaws very clear, he was able to find loads of clear space.
