In the 90+16 minute, the Argentine national team scored a killer goal through Cristiano Medina, and the Moroccan fans stormed the pitch, so the referee announced the postponement of the match until the fans were removed. After the match returned, the referee reviewed the validity of the second goal with video technology, and it became clear that it was invalid due to offside. 90+15= NO 90+16? $..........

I think it’s important for these games to have integrity and getting calls right is a big part of that especially in soccer. The field was cleared for the players safety. I’m an Argentina fan, lived there for two years but I’m happy they got this right.

You missed the part where the referee added a ridiculous 15min of stoppage time (by all accounts it should've been 7min),then still let it play until when Argentina Scored in the 16th minute (so even crazier than the initial 15min). The fans felt the injustice of "let it play until Argentina scored" and they reacted. The Argentinians thought they owned the world of football with their team and fans, up until they met Moroccan fans. Welcome to Morocco buddy 😉

Not what happened, the match was suspended because of fans invading the pitch. they resumed the game after the stadium was empty 2 hours later and played the remaining minutes

The thing is: there was no remaining time to play.! 15 min injury time was added, 15 m and 30 seconds played. So why add another 4(!!!) ? Is it because var interfered and Argentina's goal was disallowed and ref still wanted to give Argentina a scoring opportunity?? In the end justice prevailed!

Aren't you guys sports announcers/commentators? You can't figure out why they took them off for a bit and brought them back. The fans went nuts, there was a mini pitch invasion and they were throwing stuff. I'd bet everything I own they knew within 5 mins that the goal was disallowed, they had to wait till the fans were gone to bring the players back for safety. It did not take 2 hrs for a video review ffs. I hate to say this but... Duh!

BTW. I applaud the Argentinian Team (Players + Coaches) for returning to the field to see their 2nd goal recalled and finish the game. I don't know if any other teams would have done the same.

Yeah, because they had to come back. They didn't have an option, if the referee tells you to go back then you have to do it, or else you'll face harsh consequences.

in order for it to be 15 minutes, it needs to litterally be : every 2 minutes played there was 1 minute of no play. which is impossible. the referee was against Morocco the whole game.

they're trying to turn football aka soccer into basketball, when it comes to time keeping. The clock in soccer does not stop when the ball it out of play! that's how it's always been! there is cause and effects at play here... the ref added 15 mns, which is unheard of... then, when the 15 mns were up, they kept on playing for almost another minute, so, it's added time on top of added time! The moroccan spectators were pissed, to say the least and some of them stormed the field. The ref never blew the wisstle to end the game and the new VAR rule is to review every goal before declaring it valid! That ref should not officiate another game, ever!

Learn the laws of the game. You always add stoppage time for when the ball is out of play. In this case I didn't see the game, so 15 minutes does seem excessive, but if the game did stop a lot, then it would be justified.
