They for sure need to fix the perception. In BT3, you couldn't spam it. You press it, you stuck in the animation until it ends, you get the counter, or the opponent grabs/blasts you. That was proper punishment!

@@ccjr9642 Because the devs were dumb. The game is cool to look at, which I think is the goal. Their shortsightedness in undoing a lot of the checks that kept the system mechanics from being overbearing in previous entries seems like it comes from people who only understood the BT games on a surface level.

There's no difference between a casual and a high tier player in this game tho. Its a party casual experience with 0 competitive viability, ranks only tell you how many hours you sink into ranked... So its literally what ever xD

@@IANDURBECK Not really, I just play for fun playing character I like or find fun to play + never played any tenkaichi game. On the other hand, most rank S - Z players only play same team over and over ( bardock, roshi, videl, Dr. Willow, etc ), and then, if they don't win, just alt + f4 and no points lost

I don’t get how people say super counter is too free and op when perception is just as bad if not worse and can easily be spammed even while blocking.

@@zaystro2915 Even though perception can be spammed, it can be easily countered and it can’t be used when you’re being attacking from behind and it costs ki. Super counter can be used from front or back, is free, and despite what people may say is easy to use once you get the timing down and at a higher level it ruins the flow of combat. It shouldn’t be free just like super perception isn’t free.

@@imnotblindbutiloveblindfol8449perception ki consumption is so low that is almost irrelevant, and even if you try to punish it with a grab or a ki blast, your opponent can cancel grab/block WHILE spamming perception As perception is right now, it is absolutely annoying, and it discourages people from playing more aggressively

Despite the balance issues, I still think Sparking Zero is a great game. I tend to play more Custom Battles looking for cool boss styled fights to engage in.

I agree. You shouldn't be able to tech a grab in perception stance. Nor should you be able to tech a grab after whiffing your own. I mean you can rush to attack them yes, but you whiffed a grab, someone grabbed you and you still tech'd it. Makes no sense.

Dragon dash is ineffective at avoiding your opponent while they're in sparking mode because you give them room to catch you with a Z-burst dash. You should focus only quick ascend/descend to stall their sparking mode.

Some parts really hurt to watch, lol. You need to be switching way more, also because it allows you to keep up offense even without ki, since tagged-in characters come with a bit of charge already. Also, using skills. Vegeta SSJ4 has Explosive Wave, which is very good and safer than the counter. If you want to run away from ultimates, wait until they dash up to you, don't just go away or up and down randomly. People mash super counter, to stop that from happening, stagger more - add charged attacks to your combos and reset too, don't just mash.

They realy need to implement a concede button. I had times where i blinked the Enemy's ult, only to use a Dash Super while he is in the Animation and somehow get hit by it. And yes, i did Alt F2 and ragequit at that time, blame me as much as you want. But i was so embaressed that i am not gonna sit 3 min in a game without being able to get out, with this shame on me.

I agree with you on perception. Dumbest mechanic in the game, by far. It's just so ridiculous how much of the game is playing around perception. Then you end up having to CONSTANTLY play around Super Counter if you DO land a hit.

Argin you are literally validating my experience with every video. Dropped combos is a major reason why I uninstalled. It's incredibly frustrating to get perception countered in the middle of your combo because your opponent is holding perception while getting comboed. The complexity of x->x->x->x->x->x->y compared to what I do in DBFZ feels like this game is insulting my intelligence. I did not drop tht combo -_-

I have the same experience but it’s not consistent. I thought it had to do with my controller being low on battery cause it never does that when it’s fully charged

@Brandon-jf2dw i use a wired controller. It was pretty consistent for me as in every 7 out of 10 matches. I thought maybe it was an Adult Gohan specific thing since I was grinding him on the Single Battle leader boards

6:50 It feels better than a win, cus ranked is just a funny letter next to our name. Skill is quite meaningless in this game so its what ever xD But nothing beats playing for fun with normal strats and some dude rage quitting while doing full on Meta bullshit, and poor guy is Z Rank (Thinking that means jack XD)
